Key Features & Benefits
The Manitowoc 777T crawler crane debuted as a robust solution in the 200-ton lifting class, delivering high-performance capabilities with modular transport and rapid self-assembly. It offers extensive configuration flexibility, including a heavy-lift boom reaching up to 82.3 meters (270 feet) and a long-reach boom extending to 90.8 meters (298 feet). The crane can be equipped with a 91.4-meter (300′) fixed jib on the heavy-lift boom, a 96.9-meter (318′) fixed jib on the long-reach boom, or a massive 106.7-meter (350′) luffing jib setup. For extreme reach, the crane supports a 125.0-meter (410′) fixed jib mounted on a luffing jib.
The upperworks of the 777T is powered by a Cummins 6CTA 8.3-C260 diesel engine rated at 195 kW (260 HP) @ 2200 RPM, with an optional Caterpillar C-9 diesel engine delivering 253 kW (340 HP). The carrier is powered by a 373 kW (500 HP) Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine paired with an Allison HD4560 automatic transmission. This allows for a top travel speed of 96.6 km/h (60 mph), supporting on-road mobility even with the upper structure mounted.
The crane’s hydraulic system includes four high-pressure piston pumps offering closed-loop independent operation for front and rear drums, boom hoist, swing, and crawler travel, operating at pressures up to 422 bar (6,000 psi). The boom hoist system features double-acting hydraulic cylinders providing full range motion up to 88°, with rapid raising capability (270′ boom raised in just over 1.5 minutes).
The EPIC5 control system delivers responsive electronic-over-hydraulic modulation, enabling precision operation through onboard diagnostics, service data, and load moment indicators (LMI) with function cut-out modes for safety.
Drum systems support 131 kN (29,500 lb) of line pull standard with an optional 177 m/min (581 fpm) high-speed setup. The crane also supports auxiliary drums and clamshell configurations. The swing system offers 2.7 RPM with a 360° positive swing lock.
Its robust build includes a modular counterweight system and FACT™ boom connection system ensuring easy assembly and strength. The standard hook options include up to a 160 mton (175 ton) six-sheave block. Maximum hoisting line lengths exceed 400 meters, supporting deep lifts or applications with extensive hook travel.
Ideal for infrastructure, industrial, or energy projects, the Manitowoc 777T stands as a flexible, high-capacity crawler crane designed for extreme lifting challenges with mobility and modularity at its core.
