Jekko JF990 Load Chart PDF + Specifications
The Jekko JF990 is a high-capacity articulated spider crane designed for heavy lifting in confined spaces while maintaining compact transport dimensions. Introduced as part of Jekko’s large-capacity mini crane lineup, the JF990 offers a maximum lifting capacity of 21 tonnes and a maximum tip height of about 40 m with jib configuration. Its articulated multi-boom system, bi-energy power concept (diesel and electric), and versatile outrigger configurations allow it to operate effectively both outdoors and indoors, making it suitable for glazing, steel installation, industrial maintenance, and complex construction projects.

Key Features & Benefits
The Jekko JF990 represents one of the most powerful spider cranes produced by Jekko, designed to combine the lifting performance of a medium mobile crane with the compact footprint typical of mini crawler cranes. The machine features a maximum lifting capacity of 21,000 kg on the main boom, which reaches a maximum height of approximately 22 m in its standard configuration. The crane utilizes a three-articulation boom system, allowing operators to pass obstacles and perform lifts in restricted environments or over structural elements. With its maximum working radius reaching around 20 m, the crane provides significant reach while maintaining high lifting performance across the load chart.
To extend its working envelope, the JF990 can be equipped with a hydraulic jib capable of lifting up to 5,400 kg, with a fully extended length of approximately 12.5 m. When this jib is installed, the crane can achieve a maximum lifting height of roughly 34.5 m, while the overall tip height may approach 40 m depending on configuration. The crane is also capable of operating with various tools such as searcher hooks, glass manipulators, or man baskets, making it particularly useful for glazing installation and maintenance work at height.
The lifting system is supported by a hydraulic winch rated at 3,000 kg in single fall and up to 9,000 kg in three-fall configuration, equipped with approximately 60 m of rope. The articulated boom geometry combined with negative-angle capability allows the crane to operate below ground level or in confined spaces such as industrial plants or atriums. This articulation system also improves load positioning accuracy in tight lifting scenarios.
In terms of stability, the JF990 uses a sophisticated multi-position outrigger system with stepless rotation between 0° and 45°, along with telescopic extensions and adjustable heights. This arrangement allows asymmetric outrigger configurations, enabling the crane to operate safely even when obstacles prevent full extension of all stabilizers. The stability management system is integrated with the onboard control interface to provide real-time stability feedback to the operator.
Power is provided by a 55 kW Kubota diesel engine equipped with variable speed engine management to reduce fuel consumption, noise, and emissions. The engine incorporates a DPF filtration system for emission compliance. In addition to the diesel system, the JF990 can operate using an electric power pack, enabling completely emission-free and low-noise operation indoors. This bi-energy configuration allows operators to switch between diesel and electric modes depending on the work environment, which is particularly beneficial for indoor construction or sensitive urban areas.
The crane’s structural design also emphasizes transportability. The JF990 has a compact transport dimension of approximately 6,750 mm in length, 2,140 mm in width, and 3,440 mm in height. Its self-removable counterweight system, consisting of two modules of 3 tonnes and 2 tonnes, allows easier transport and setup while keeping the base machine lighter when necessary. The operating weight is around 22,700 kg, with additional counterweight modules increasing stability during heavy lifting operations.
Operator control is performed via an advanced radio remote control system paired with an IP66-rated display interface, providing real-time load charts, stability area visualization, diagnostics, and troubleshooting features. The crane can also integrate with remote fleet monitoring systems through Jekko’s connectivity platform, allowing operators and fleet managers to track operational data and maintenance conditions remotely.
Overall, the JF990 stands out as a large-capacity spider crane that bridges the gap between compact mini cranes and conventional mobile cranes. Its articulated boom design, strong lifting capacity, and bi-energy power system make it particularly well suited for demanding applications such as glass installation, heavy structural assembly, plant maintenance, and urban construction where access and environmental restrictions are critical factors.
