Product Description

The Tadano Mantis 6010LP, a 30-ton (27-tonne) class telescopic crawler crane, is designed to operate efficiently in restricted access areas where both lifting power and compact dimensions are essential. It features a three-section, full-power synchronized telescoping boom that ranges from 32 feet 8 inches (9.96 meters) when retracted to 80 feet (24.38 meters) fully extended. Its telescoping action, driven by a single hydraulic cylinder with extension and retraction cables, ensures smooth boom operation, with complete extension in 70 seconds and elevation from -1° to 78° in just 41 seconds.

This crane is optimized for jobsite flexibility, allowing pick-and-carry operations through a full 360°, and even under load while traveling with its tracks retracted. The low center of gravity and relatively light counterweight (11,500 lbs or 5,220 kg) provide excellent gradeability and terrain handling. It is particularly well-suited to tank building and industrial construction work requiring minimal working height and width.

Powering the 6010LP is a Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine, rated at 173 horsepower (129 kW) at 2200 RPM, coupled with a 100-amp alternator. Its hydraulic system includes dual high-pressure axial piston pumps with load-sensing and power-limiting capabilities, supplying 115 gallons per minute at 4,800 psi, and is paired with precision pilot-controlled directional valves. The swing system features a planetary gear reducer and delivers rotation at speeds up to 2.2 rpm.

The winches are robust, with the main winch capable of 11,000 lbs single-line pull and a speed of 229 feet per minute. The auxiliary winch provides slightly higher line pull at 12,000 lbs. Track travel is supported by two-speed hydrostatic drives enabling speeds of 1.6 to 2.6 mph (2.6 to 4.2 km/h) and a gradeability of 53%.

Operator comfort and safety are ensured with a fully enclosed, air-conditioned cab that includes a sliding door, anti-slip flooring, tinted glass, and a six-way adjustable seat with armrest interlocks. The Rated Capacity Limiter system provides real-time feedback on lift parameters through an LCD display and includes anti-two-block protection.

Optional attachments include a 20-foot swing-away boom extension and a 20-foot jib, increasing the maximum tip height to 119 feet (36.3 meters). Other optional gear includes auger packages, tool circuits, pole claws, work platforms, radio remote controls, and a variety of track shoe widths down to 18 inches, allowing tailored configuration for diverse site conditions.

The 6010LP remains a standout for its transport-friendly profile, rugged build, and ability to lift and travel in challenging environments—making it a preferred choice for contractors needing both power and compact capability.
