Tadano Mantis 15010
The Tadano Mantis 15010 is a 77-ton class telescopic boom crawler crane with a 4-section synchronized hydraulic boom extending up to 111 ft 6 in (34 m). Equipped with a Cummins QSB 6.7 engine and high-performance winches, it’s capable of pick-and-carry duties through 360°, even with retracted tracks. With strong travel capabilities, a tilting cab, and optional boom extensions, it’s ideal for confined, rugged, or foundation-focused job sites.

Product Description
The Tadano Mantis 15010 is built for versatility, combining a compact footprint with heavy-duty lifting power. It offers a maximum lifting capacity of 77 US tons at 10 feet (70 metric tons at 3.0 m). The 4-section full-power telescopic boom retracts to 37 ft 6 in (11.4 m) and extends up to 111 ft 6 in (34 m) in just 102 seconds. Elevation ranges from -1° to 78° with an elevation time of 64 seconds.
The crane comes with an optional 30 ft swing-away extension and a 20 ft jib, giving it a maximum lifting height of 162 ft (49.4 m). Sheaves on the boom and extension heads are made from high-strength cast nylon and ride on heavy-duty roller bearings for smooth, long-lasting performance.
Winches are planetary gear-driven with dual speeds and bent-axis hydraulic motors. Both main and auxiliary winches offer a line pull of 17,590 lbs (78.2 kN) and line speeds up to 225 ft/min (68.6 m/min). Rope capacities are 700 ft (213 m) for the main and 350 ft (107 m) for the auxiliary, using ¾” (19 mm) wire.
Powered by a 260 hp (194 kW) Cummins QSB 6.7 engine, the 15010’s hydraulic system delivers up to 154 gpm at 4,800 psi, ensuring smooth, responsive lifting and travel. The hydraulic circuit is load-sensing with power-limiting control and fine filtration.
Travel is driven by two-speed hydrostatic tracks, offering a max speed of 1.7 mph (2.8 km/h) and 68% gradeability. The crane can pivot turn and counter-rotate, while the hydraulically adjustable track frames retract for reduced transport width—available with 30, 31.5, or 36-inch track shoes.
The operator cab tilts 20° for improved visibility during high boom angles. It’s fully enclosed, air-conditioned, and fitted with ergonomic joysticks, safety indicators, and Tadano’s AML-C rated capacity limiter with real-time load monitoring and anti-two block warnings on a color LCD.
Counterweight totals 35,000 lbs (15,875 kg) and swing operations are smooth via a hydraulic gear motor system with safety brakes. Optional accessories include auger packages, pole claws, tool circuits, radio remote control, free-fall winches, cold weather kits, and work platforms.
With a working weight of up to 137,554 lbs (62,241 kg) and ground pressures as low as 9.3 psi, the Mantis 15010 is engineered for reliable lifting in limited-access sites and demanding terrains. It delivers full load pick-and-carry functionality, exceptional mobility, and reduced setup time—making it a go-to machine for utility, energy, foundation, and infrastructure jobs.
