Product Description
The Liebherr LR 1300 SX crawler crane is tailored for high-performance lifting on challenging terrain, offering a comprehensive suite of advanced engineering features. The crane is powered by a Liebherr D 856 A7 SCR diesel engine rated at 390 kW (523 hp) at 1900 rpm, supported by a 900-liter fuel tank. It meets Tier 4i and EC Stage IIIB emissions standards, ensuring compliance with the latest environmental regulations.
Hydraulic power is central to the LR 1300 SX, delivered through an axial displacement pump operating a closed-loop system. This system simultaneously powers the hoist, luffing, swing, and travel functions. Electronic monitoring ensures maximum efficiency and safety, while all hydraulic circuits are fitted with environmentally friendly, biodegradable oils. Hydraulic oil capacity is 900 liters, and system pressure reaches up to 350 bar.
The main winches are equipped with planetary gearboxes in oil baths, and are driven by pressure-controlled, variable flow hydraulic motors. Standard mode delivers a line pull of 215 kN (1st layer) and 150 kN (7th layer) with a rope speed up to 138 m/min. For lifting scenarios requiring faster lowering, the free-fall system option allows speeds up to 107 m/min, with slightly reduced line pulls. Each winch supports a rope capacity of 570 meters, using 28 mm diameter ropes.
Boom operations are driven by the boom winch, capable of 217 kN line pull, with boom luffing motion from 15° to 86° completed in 127 seconds using a 24 mm diameter rope. The luffing jib winch, similarly engineered, operates between 15° and 78°, taking 69 seconds for full travel. This dual-functionality makes the LR 1300 SX well-suited for complex lifting scenarios.
Crawler propulsion is achieved via axial piston motors, with spring-loaded multi-disc brakes and track tensioning hydraulics. Track pads are 1200 mm wide, with an optional upgrade to 1500 mm, and the crane has a drive speed range of 0–1.3 km/h.
Swing operations utilize a robust mechanism with roller bearings and external teeth, plus a fixed axial piston hydraulic motor. The swing can operate in both speed-controlled and free modes, with 360° continuous rotation and speeds up to 1.8 rpm. The swing brake is multi-disc, spring-loaded, and can hold at any angle under load.
Control is handled by Liebherr’s proprietary system, featuring a high-resolution graphical display that supports over 15 languages and provides detailed feedback on crane status and diagnostics. The operator manages movements via two multi-directional joysticks for winch and boom control. A double T-lever configuration is also available for simultaneous boom and jib movement. For maximum safety and precision, remote control functionality is offered for counterweight and boom hinge operations.
Noise levels are also compliant with 2000/14/EC directives, thanks to the crane’s optimized mechanical and hydraulic design for outdoor use.
In conclusion, the LR 1300 SX blends power, precision, and operator-friendly design, making it ideal for civil construction, heavy lifting in confined spaces, and complex rigging applications. Its robust structure and intelligent systems ensure top-tier reliability and versatility in the 130-ton crawler class.
