XCMG XGC88000

Chinese manufacturer XCMG has begun building the 3,600-tonne capacity XGC88000 crawler crane, which is targeted for work at petrochemical, coal, chemical and nuclear power construction. It was jointly developed with Chinese oil company Sinopec (China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation) following an agreement signed in 2010. The XGC88000 follows the 1,000- and 2,000-metric ton capacity models previously launched, the latter shown at the 2010 Bauma China exhibition in Shanghai. The maximum rated load moment of XGC88000 crawler crane is 88000tm, one of the highest among the crawler crane in the current global lifting equipment industry.

The XGC88000 has been recognized internationally for its three pioneering technology and six world’s leading technology with more than 80 national patents. This significantly represented that China is set to disrupt the monopoly giant crane business in the world which was once dominated by Germany and the USA.

Product Description

While it has only been a short history for China crane manufacturers, they have been striving towards competition with the world’s famous makers like Terex and Liebherr. Not only competing with the volume of crane sales, but these China manufacturers are also thinking of a way to build something bigger and larger. XCMG has managed to break a record for the crawler crane industry once again after their announcement for their largest crawler crane, XGC88000, which was also the world largest crawler at the moment.

The 4,000-ton crawler crane rolled off the assembly line on 2nd November 2012. XCMG has held their XCMG Heavy Machinery National Customer Summit in 2013 which they have performed commissioning of the 4,000-ton crawler crane by hoisting a 4,500-ton load for a period of 20 minutes. It has left the clients impressed with the crane’s capability.
