Jekko JF545.2 15.5 ton Mini Crane

Key Features & Benefits

The Jekko JF545.2 represents an updated generation of the JF545 mini crane series, developed to provide strong lifting performance while maintaining the compact footprint and maneuverability typical of spider cranes. The machine offers a maximum lifting capacity of 15,500 kg, making it suitable for heavy-duty tasks such as glass installation, steel assembly, and industrial maintenance where access is restricted or floor load limits must be respected.

The crane uses a three-articulation boom design, which allows the boom to pass over obstacles and operate with negative angles when necessary. This articulation greatly improves versatility compared with conventional telescopic mini cranes, allowing the operator to position loads accurately in confined environments such as atriums, factories, or complex construction sites. The main boom provides significant lifting reach, and when combined with the optional jib, the crane can achieve a maximum working height of around 30–32 m depending on configuration.

To extend the crane’s working envelope, the JF545.2 can be equipped with a hydraulic jib capable of lifting up to 3,000 kg. The jib has a maximum length of approximately 12.5 m and can operate either with a hook or winch configuration. This allows the crane to perform a wide range of lifting applications, including glazing work using vacuum manipulators, mechanical installation, and elevated maintenance tasks.

The lifting system includes a hydraulic winch available in two configurations: 3,000 kg or 2,000 kg capacity, with approximately 60 m of rope and the ability to operate with one, two, or three falls depending on the lifting requirements. These configurations allow operators to adapt the crane to both high-capacity lifts and precise positioning operations.

Stability is provided through a multi-position outrigger system with stepless rotation between 0° and 45°, telescopic extensions, and adjustable heights. This allows asymmetric outrigger positioning when working around obstacles or inside buildings. The crane’s control system continuously displays the stability area, enabling safe lifting even when the outriggers cannot be fully extended.

The JF545.2 uses a self-removable counterweight system rated at approximately 3.5 tonnes, which simplifies transport and allows operators to configure the crane depending on lifting requirements. With a base machine weight of about 13,730 kg plus counterweight, the crane can be transported efficiently while still providing high lifting performance once installed on site.

Power is supplied by a 55.4 kW Kubota diesel engine, which incorporates variable-speed engine management to reduce fuel consumption and noise while improving hydraulic performance. The crane can also be equipped with an electric power pack, allowing 100% electric and emission-free operation for indoor or environmentally sensitive applications. The system includes selectable working modes such as Eco, Normal, and Power to optimize performance according to the lifting task.

The machine is operated via an advanced radio remote control system paired with a 7-inch IP66-rated display, which provides real-time operational data including stability area monitoring, crane diagnostics, and troubleshooting functions. The system also supports telematics connectivity through Jekko’s fleet monitoring platform, allowing remote diagnostics and fleet management.

In terms of transport and compactness, the crane measures approximately 5,830 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 2,830 mm in height, enabling it to pass through tight access points and be transported easily between jobsites. The compact footprint combined with powerful lifting capability makes it particularly suited for specialized lifting operations where conventional cranes cannot operate.

Overall, the Jekko JF545.2 combines articulated boom versatility, strong lifting capacity, compact transport dimensions, and dual power options. These features make it a highly adaptable mini crane for glazing, industrial maintenance, building construction, and indoor lifting projects where precision, access, and environmental constraints are key considerations.
