Grove RT550E for Port of London

UK public trust Port of London Authority (PLA) has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Grove RT550E Rough Terrain Crane.

The RT550E features a five-section 39-metre main boom plus an eight-metre swing away extension which can be offset at zero, 20 or 40 degrees. The crane was delivered by Grove dealer Crowland Cranes and has been equipped with a 270-degree camera system and Crowland’s wireless wind speed system.

Engineering Superintendent David Kelly said: “We are not only very impressed with the capability of the new Grove RT550E but with the service and assistance from the team at Crowland Cranes.”
