Grove and Potain highlight enhanced parts, support tools, remanufacturing, training, and digital solutions

Manitowoc is placing strong emphasis on its aftermarket services at bauma 2025, dedicating a substantial portion of its 3,300 m² booth to the wide-ranging support offerings that enhance crane ownership and lifecycle performance. Through its Grove and Potain brands, the company will present an extensive selection of services and tools aimed at improving uptime, reducing costs, and maximizing return on investment.

Comprehensive Support for Potain Customers

Visitors to the Potain area will find six dedicated stations focused on customer support. These will include genuine spare parts such as lighting systems and camera units, mounted on actual cranes displayed in the outdoor section. These OEM-approved components provide long-term value through superior safety, extended service life, and full warranty coverage.

Live demonstrations will highlight the new ProTECHtor™ technician safety device, the latest version of the hydraulic tool for mast pin handling, and the BCS camera system. A key attraction will be Potain CONNECT™, where users can explore the Assist smartphone app—designed to streamline remote troubleshooting without requiring Wi-Fi or advanced connectivity.

Potain’s long legacy in customer support will also be recognized through the display of a vintage service vehicle, and visitors can explore the company’s digital tools, such as Kolus, a video assistant that allows remote fault resolution without sending technicians to site.

Training is another major focus. At the Potain Academy, both live sessions and the e-Academy digital platform are on display, giving visitors a look into how crane operators and technicians can improve their skills.

Other dedicated zones will spotlight Potain’s Rental services, the Used Cranes inventory platform, and EnCORE—a sustainability-driven refurbishment program that extends the lifespan of aging cranes. The Lift Solutions station will also showcase how Manitowoc customizes cranes for unique project requirements.

Expanded Offerings for Grove Crane Owners

Grove crane owners will find numerous new services at bauma 2025, including an outdoor area focused on maintenance and parts. Highlights include components from the Grove Remanufacturing program—showcasing expertly reconditioned parts—and insights into the Grove EnCORE refurbishment initiative.

Live demos of Grove CONNECT™ will reveal how real-time diagnostics and fault-tracing help reduce downtime. Additionally, the CRANEbee tool from CRANIMAX will be demonstrated, showing how 3D modeling can optimize crane selection and lift planning for complex projects.

Grove training experts will also be on-site to discuss the company’s global training facilities, which offer hands-on instruction for all experience levels.

“For Manitowoc, the sale of a crane is the beginning of our relationship with a customer,” said Dirk Wolfsteller, VP Aftermarket Services. “Our cranes are already some of the best in the world, but with our genuine spare parts, innovative smart technologies, and more, we can ensure higher uptime and better productivity. And, when customers are ready to sell or refurbish the crane at the end of its working life, we have the EnCORE and Used Crane services to ensure the best return on investment.”
