The XCMG QAY260A is a powerful 260-ton all-terrain crane designed for versatile lifting tasks in construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects. This crane is built on a robust six-axle chassis that ensures exceptional stability and maneuverability, making it suitable for both on-road and off-road operations. With an overall length of 16,150 mm, a width of 3,000 mm, and a height of 4,000 mm, the QAY260A is designed to handle heavy lifting tasks while maintaining efficient mobility.
The QAY260A features a main boom that extends up to 72 meters, allowing for impressive vertical reach. When combined with its jib, the maximum working height extends to 103.3 meters, providing excellent flexibility for high-altitude operations. The base boom length starts at 13.5 meters, making the crane adaptable for various job site conditions. Its maximum lifting moment is 7,980 kNm, providing substantial power for handling heavy loads with ease. The rated minimum working radius is just 3 meters, allowing for precise lifting in tight spaces.
Powered by two engines, the crane offers reliable performance both for its superstructure and carrier. The superstructure is powered by the TAD722VE engine, generating 194 kW (at 2100 rpm) of power and 1,050 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth crane operations. The carrier engine, an OM502LA.E3B/2, delivers 440 kW at 1800 rpm with a torque of 2,800 Nm, providing strong propulsion and driving capabilities, allowing the crane to reach a top travel speed of 72 km/h. It features a turning radius of 23 meters and can achieve a maximum gradeability of 50%, making it suitable for various terrain types. The fuel consumption is approximately 83 liters per 100 kilometers.
In terms of load distribution, each of the six axles carries a load of 12,000 kg, ensuring even weight distribution and stability during travel and operation. The crane also boasts a 270 mm minimum ground clearance, which, combined with a 16° approach angle and 18° departure angle, enhances its ability to navigate rough or uneven terrain.
The QAY260A offers exceptional lifting speed and efficiency with its main winch and auxiliary winch, capable of reaching maximum speeds of 115 m/min and 118 m/min, respectively. The boom elevating time is 85 seconds, while full extension of the boom takes 700 seconds. Its maximum slewing speed is 1.4 rpm, ensuring precise and swift positioning of loads.
The crane’s outrigger system ensures a strong and stable foundation for lifting operations, with a longitudinal span of 10.3 meters and a lateral span of 8.8 meters or 7.6 meters, depending on the configuration. This ensures reliable support during heavy lifts and extended reach operations.
