Product Description
The Demag CC 2600 is a 500-ton class crawler crane, engineered for large-scale lifting operations across industrial, construction, and infrastructure projects. This model benefits from its sturdy construction and advanced Superlift system, providing exceptional stability and lifting power during heavy-duty tasks. The CC 2600 is highly adaptable, with multiple boom configurations and a robust drive system to ensure reliable performance in demanding conditions.
The crane’s crawler carrier is built from high-strength, fine-grained structural steel, designed with torsion-resistant welded structures to provide durability and resilience under stress. The track width can be mechanically adjusted between 6.9 and 8 meters for better maneuverability and transportability. Its dual hydraulic motors power the tracks through closed planetary gear reduction units running in oil baths, allowing the crane to perform smooth and efficient travel and positioning operations.
The superstructure of the CC 2600 is equipped with a 353 kW (480 HP) Daimler-Benz OM 442LA engine, which drives the hydraulic system and ensures consistent power for crane operations. The engine complies with DIN 70020 standards, providing water cooling for better performance. The crane’s rope drums—hoist 1, hoist 2, boom hoist, and luffing hoist—are hydraulically driven, with multi-disk braking systems that ensure safe load lowering and load stability.
For versatility, the CC 2600 can be configured with a range of boom variants, from the SH and LH setups with main boom lengths of 18 to 90 meters to SW and SW/SSL configurations, which include fly jib extensions up to 72 meters. The boom structure uses lattice-type tubular chords fabricated from high-strength steel, allowing for easy pin disconnection during assembly and disassembly.
In terms of safety, the CC 2600 includes multiple systems to enhance operational security. This includes electronic safe load indicators, hoist limit switches, boom movement limit switches, and hydraulic boom backstops. An anemometer is also fitted to monitor wind speed, which is crucial for safe lifting operations in outdoor environments.
The crane offers the Superlift system, allowing for adjustable counterweights between 50 and 250 tons, significantly enhancing load stability during lifts. The system is ideal for heavy lifting operations that require extra support and load distribution.
Additional features include hydraulic jacks for crawler assembly, reeving winches for the SW/SSL setup, and optional components like additional rope winches for even greater flexibility. The operator cab is spacious and equipped with all-around safety glazing, full crane controls, heating, and air conditioning for comfort during long working hours.
With its 500-ton rated capacity, variable boom configurations, and powerful Superlift system, the Demag CC 2600 is designed for high-efficiency performance on challenging job sites, providing the strength and flexibility needed for complex lifting tasks.
