Operating Weight and Capacity The ZCC550H comes with an operational weight of approximately 85.2t, which includes the basic machine with crawlers, two main winches with 200m and 150m wire ropes, and a 13m main boom. It is supplemented by an FA-frame, boom foot (6.5m), boom head (6.5m), 32 t rear counterweight, and 100t hook block.

Performance and Efficiency The crawler crane is renowned for its excellent lifting performance, characterized by a large gauge track crawler chassis that provides stability over a full 360-degree rotation. The maximum load moment is 390 t.m, with the ability to carry a maximum rated load of 12t on a single line when the jib is fixed, outperforming competing models of similar tonnage. Efficiency is also a hallmark of the ZCC550H, with simultaneous movements achievable without deceleration when switching between crane operations. Its hoisting winch with a free-fall function is optional, and the single rope force on the 3rd rope layer can reach 11t.

Transportation, Assembly, and Dismantling The design of the ZCC550H emphasizes ease of transportation and assembly. Its A-frame can be erected independently without additional oil cylinders, allowing for rapid assembly. Each single counterweight plate weighs less than 6.75t, facilitating the assembly with smaller cranes, if necessary. The crawler carriers can be extended or retracted for ease of transport, with a maximum transport width of the crane at 3.0m.

Engine and Hydraulic System Powered by a WEICHAI WP7G270E301 engine, the ZCC550H complies with China’s national 3 Emission Standards and offers a maximum output torque of 1200 N.m. The hydraulic system operates with a series-connected setup, featuring high-speed hydraulic motors for the best efficiency during movements, accompanied by a 40 kW oil cooler and a 520L hydraulic oil tank capacity.

Hoisting and Swing Mechanisms The hoisting winch is driven by an axial piston variable displacement motor, ensuring that the multi-layer wire rope is wound orderly and efficiently. The swing mechanism is powered by an axial piston constant displacement motor with a slewing speed ranging from 0-2.4 rpm.

Crane Undercarriage The ZCC550H has both left and right crawler carriers equipped with an independent hydraulic driving system, adjustable through hand levers or travel gear pedals to control the traveling movements. The track width is adjustable between 2550 mm when retracted to 4250 mm when extended, and the traveling speed is up to 1.3 km/h.
