Product Description
The Kato NK-250E-v is a mobile hydraulic truck crane designed for lifting operations in a wide range of jobsite environments. It is built on either a Mitsubishi K203LA or Nissan Diesel KW31MAL carrier, each offering a 6×4 drive system and optimized for road transport and jobsite maneuverability.
The Mitsubishi carrier measures approximately 11,930 mm in length and has a gross vehicle weight of 24,600 kg. It is powered by the Mitsubishi 6D22-1A, a 6-cylinder, 11.49-liter diesel engine producing 225 PS at 2,200 rpm (165 kW), with a torque output of 764 Nm at 1,400 rpm. This version uses a single dry plate clutch with hydraulic control and booster and is equipped with a 5-speed forward and 1-reverse gearbox. The front suspension consists of semi-elliptic leaf springs with shock absorbers, and the braking system features a dual air service brake with 6-wheel actuation and an auxiliary exhaust brake.
Alternatively, the Nissan Diesel KW31MAL carrier features similar overall dimensions, with a gross weight of 24,300 kg. Its PE6 engine is a 6-cylinder, 11.67-liter turbocharged diesel that generates 230 PS at 2,200 rpm (169 kW) and 813 Nm of torque at 1,300 rpm. It has a 6-speed manual transmission with a single dry clutch and “Elliott” type reverse gear system. The Nissan version also includes a spring-loaded mechanical parking brake, air-operated emergency brake, and rear exhaust brake.
Both variants offer a maximum travel speed of 65–71 km/h, depending on the carrier, with a gradeability of up to 31%. Minimum turning radii are tight—9.5 m (Mitsubishi) and 9.2 m (Nissan)—which enhances maneuverability in confined areas.
Suspension systems utilize semi-elliptic leaf springs with shock absorbers. Front and rear treads range from 2,040 to 2,025 mm (front) and 1,860 to 1,945 mm (rear), and the outriggers extend up to 6,000 mm (fully extended), ensuring a stable platform for crane operations.
The NK-250E-v is fitted with either 11.00-20 14PR tires (Mitsubishi) or 10.00-20 16PR (Nissan), providing solid ground contact and load distribution. The steel cabs are designed with operator comfort and visibility in mind, including two-person layouts and offset control seating.
With reliable drivetrain choices, strong engine performance, and compact mobility, the Kato NK-250E-v remains a practical and robust truck crane for general lifting duties in construction, logistics, and industrial applications.
