Nippon Grove TMS 3500-III

The Nippon Grove TMS3500-III is a 35-ton capacity hydraulic truck crane designed to deliver versatile lifting power and efficient road travel in a compact mobile format. It features a telescopic boom that extends from 10.3 to 32.0 meters, and it can be paired with a jib of up to 15.0 meters, allowing for a total lifting height of up to 46.0 meters when using a 5° jib offset. Maximum working radius is up to 38 meters with the boom and jib extended.

The crane boasts a range of lifting configurations, such as:

• 35.0 t × 3.0 m on the 10.3 m boom
• 10.0 t × 8.0 m on the 32.0 m boom
• 4.5 t × 80° on a 9.3 m jib (5° offset)
• 1.2 t × 72° on a 15.0 m jib (30° offset)

Boom telescoping is accomplished in 21.7 m per 95 seconds, while hoisting speeds reach up to 121 m/min (high) and 63 m/min (low). Swing speed is 2.4 rpm. The boom elevation system supports angles from -3° to 80°, reaching full elevation in just 47 seconds. Rope reeving configurations include 9-fall for heavy lifting and single-fall for light-duty loads.

The jib system is a 1-stage, manually pinned extension with 5° and 30° offset positions, allowing flexibility for high-reach or up-and-over lifting tasks.

Power is provided by a Nissan RE8 diesel engine delivering 315 PS at 2,300 rpm and a maximum torque of 105 kg·m at 1,400 rpm. It uses a 3-speed gear hydraulic pump system and transmission PTO for crane operations. The truck platform features a 2-axle design with front 12.00–20 tires and rear 11.00–20 tires. Braking is handled by a dual air system, and the fuel tank has a 300-liter capacity.

The TMS3500-III travels at up to 65 km/h and has a climbing capability of 0.31 (tanθ), with a tight minimum turning radius of 11.8 meters. Overall dimensions are 13,080 mm (L) × 2,820 mm (W) × 3,495 mm (H), and it has a total vehicle weight of 35,010 kg.
