Product Description

The Tadano TG-450M-1 stands out as a mid-sized truck-mounted hydraulic crane, designed to deliver strong lifting performance across job sites while also being roadable without the need for a trailer. With a rated lifting capacity of 45 metric tons, it is built with a five-section box-type telescoping boom ranging from 10.8 meters to 40 meters, achieving a maximum lifting height of 41.2 meters with the main boom and up to 53 meters when using the jib.

The boom extension is hydraulically operated using a double-acting cylinder and a wire rope-type telescoping device. The jib comes in two lengths: 8.9 meters and 14.6 meters, both stored alongside the boom. With dual boom elevation cylinders, the boom elevates from -1.5° to 82°, with a lifting speed of 57 seconds from 0 to maximum.

The main winch operates at a single line speed of 110 m/min (4th layer), and both the main and auxiliary winches use hydraulic motor drives with spur gear speed reducers and brake systems. The slewing system offers 360° continuous rotation at 2.0 rpm, powered by a hydraulic motor with planetary gear reduction and hydraulic brakes.

The crane is mounted on a 3-axle carrier (6×4 drive configuration) powered by a Nissan RG8 engine producing 280 PS at 2,200 rpm and 108 kg·m of torque. It uses a 12-speed manual transmission and offers a top road speed of 70 km/h. Outriggers are hydraulically operated, providing maximum lateral extension of 5,500 mm.

This model also includes several safety features like load moment indicators, boom angle indicators, hydraulic safety valves, automatic winch braking, and emergency stop functions. The cab is designed for operator comfort and visibility, and the control layout enables intuitive crane handling.

With a compact length of 12.7 meters, a width of 2.75 meters, and a height of 3.5 meters, the TG-450M-1 is maneuverable enough for both urban and off-road applications. The total vehicle weight is approximately 33,100 kg, making it suitable for general transportation regulations in many regions.
