The crane’s main boom is a 4-section, hydraulically telescoping boom with lengths ranging from 12.0 to 47.5 meters, fabricated using high-strength materials with a rounded box-type cross-section for improved durability and torsional resistance. It features Kato’s full-power boom system, offering smooth and continuous telescoping across all boom stages.

For additional height and outreach, the NK-1000 is equipped with a two-stage hydraulic SL (Super Luffing) jib, available in lengths from 8.4 to 21.0 meters. The jib can be deployed at offset angles of 5° to 45°, and its design enables rapid deployment using hydraulic cylinders and mechanical linkages stored on the boom side. When paired with the main boom, the crane can reach a maximum lifting height of 69.0 meters, making it suitable for high-rise building or utility projects.

The main and auxiliary wire ropes are 22 mm in diameter, designed to handle large hook blocks with 100 t (6 sheaves), 40 t (2 sheaves), and 7 t (single sheave) configurations.

Powering the crane’s superstructure is a Nissan NE6T04 diesel engine, outputting 180 PS at 2200 rpm and torque of 69 kg·m at 1500 rpm, with a fuel tank capacity of 300 liters. The oil reservoir holds 107.5 liters, and the hydraulic system includes multi-pump circuits with variable flow regulation, supporting simultaneous operations with precise responsiveness.

The carrier unit is mounted on a 5-axle truck chassis (W-KG520RN), powered by a Nissan V8 diesel engine, producing 340 PS at 2200 rpm, and maximum torque of 120 kg·m at 1200 rpm. The vehicle reaches a maximum speed of 60 km/h, with a minimum turning radius of 9.8 meters. The carrier also features hydraulic suspension, air brakes, and automatic leveling outrigger jacks.

The outrigger system includes three-stage hydraulic extensions with spans of 8.6 m (max), 6.6 m (mid), and 4.8 m (min). Kato’s ACS (Automatic Crane System) is installed as standard, incorporating safety interlocks, load monitoring, boom/jib angle detection, and outrigger extension sensors to prevent overloads and ensure stable operations in real-time.
