Product Description
The Tadano TL-250M is a robust and reliable truck-mounted crane engineered to deliver precision lifting in mid-range capacities. Designed around a 25,000 kg maximum rated lifting capacity with an 8-part line configuration, this crane provides strong performance across its boom configurations. The boom itself extends from 10.2 meters to 31.5 meters, consisting of a four-section hydraulically telescoping box boom, controlled by synchronized stages 3 and 4 for smooth extension. Complementing the main boom is a jib assembly offering lengths of 8.5 meters and 14.0 meters, with dual 5° and 30° offset angles for flexible load placement.
At its peak lifting height, the TL-250M achieves 41.4 meters using the boom, and up to 45.2 meters with the jib attached. The maximum working radius extends to 30.0 meters on the boom, or 37.0 meters when utilizing the jib at full offset, and 32.1 meters when operating the single top jib sheave.
The crane is equipped with dual winches—main and auxiliary—offering strong lifting speed and torque. The main winch delivers single-line speeds of up to 117 meters per minute (high range, 4th layer), with hook speeds of 14.6 meters per minute in high range. The auxiliary winch provides 100 meters per minute single-line speed on the 2nd layer, ideal for simultaneous lifting operations or when using the optional single top for quick and precise lifts. The wire ropes used on both winches are 16 mm in diameter and 175 m (main) or 100 m (auxiliary) in length, with a breaking strength of 17.6 to 18.7 tonnes depending on rope type (Class B or C spin-resistant).
Boom elevation is controlled by dual-acting hydraulic cylinders, allowing a range from -3° to 80°, with full elevation in just 55 seconds. Swing operations are supported by a hydraulic motor driving a planetary gear reducer and slewing bearing system, allowing continuous 360° rotation at 3.1 rpm.
The TL-250M is built on a strong Nissan Diesel K-KG45S carrier chassis, driven by a PE6 (T) 4-cycle, inline 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 275 PS at 2,300 rpm with a torque output of 98 kg·m at 1,200 rpm. Transmission is handled via a constant-mesh 5-speed gearbox with hypoid gear reduction, offering good mechanical efficiency and control. The steering uses a recirculating ball screw setup with power assistance, and suspension consists of laminated leaf springs on the front and equalizer torque rods on the rear.
The hydraulic system powering the crane’s lifting and operational functions comprises three gear-type pumps. These pumps generate working pressures of 210 kg/cm² (P₁, P₃) and 200 kg/cm² (P₂), stored within a 432-liter oil tank (at 20°C oil temperature). Outriggers are of the fully hydraulic H-type, capable of a maximum load of 29.1 tonnes, and offer independent extension and jacking functions for superior leveling and stability.
For safety, the TL-250M includes an automatic moment limiter system with real-time displays for moment, boom angle, boom length, total rated load, and maximum lifting height. Additional features include an overwind cutout, level gauge, front-area control device, hook safety latch, winch drum lock, swing brake, and multiple hydraulic counterbalance valves. Optional equipment includes an oil cooler, hydraulic oil temperature gauge, and winch drum rotation indicator.
The overall vehicle dimensions are 12.42 m long, 2.49 m wide, and 3.39 m high, with a wheelbase of 6.35 m and tread widths of 2.02 m (front) and 1.86 m (rear). It weighs approximately 27,630 kg gross, with a top travel speed of 60 km/h and a minimum turning radius of 11.0 meters, making it roadable and suitable for jobs requiring mobility and fast setup.
