Hiab iQ.1188 HIRPO

Hiab, a division of Cargotec, has introduced the HIAB iQ.1188 HiPro, a powerful 110-tonne-metre ™ super heavy loader crane. This latest innovation integrates the company’s novel control system, setting a benchmark in delivering enhanced productivity and safety features. The iQ series represents Hiab’s next-generation loader cranes, leveraging the new control system SPACEevo in combination with the CombiDrive 4 remote control, now integrated for the first time in the HIAB iQ.1188 HiPro. It was the largest crane launched by Hiab in 2021 until iQ.1388 HiPro took over its position in 2022.

The HIAB iQ.1188 HiPro stands as the 2nd largest crane to be unveiled by Hiab, showcasing an extended reach and impressive lifting capacity while maintaining a compact and lightweight build. Despite its 110tm loader crane performance, its size mirrors that of a 90tm model. This unique feature enables easy installation on 4-axle vehicles, leaving ample space for payload, significantly curbing costs, and reducing fuel consumption. The superior performance-to-weight ratio is attributed to the new V12-Power boom profiles.

The innovative SPACEevo control system enables precise operation even at elevated speeds, constructed on an open technological platform allowing seamless updates. The CombiDrive 4 remote control offers detailed information through larger color screens, haptic feedback (vibrations), and extended battery life. Operators can personalize settings such as speed and crane reaction. A key safety addition, Confirm View, helps identify the operator’s position concerning the stabilizers, ensuring they only deploy when the operator has a clear view.

Among its distinct features, the crane boasts the DLC-S stabilization program. This technology allows operators, via the remote control, to simulate the crane’s stability in specific positions with stabilizers opened, offering precise planning for scheduled lifts.

The HIAB iQ.1188 HiPro is equipped with built-in connectivity, providing owners access to Hiab’s HiConnect™, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
