Key Features & Benefits

The Effer iQ.1200 HP is part of Effer’s latest generation of iQ series articulated loader cranes, developed to combine high lifting capacity with compact structural design and advanced digital control technology. Classified in the 110 tonne-metre lifting class, the crane is designed to handle heavy lifting operations while maintaining transport efficiency and installation flexibility.

One of the most notable aspects of the iQ.1200 HP is its compact structural design, which allows the crane to achieve lifting performance normally associated with larger machines while maintaining dimensions comparable to cranes in the 90 tonne-metre range. This compact structure enables installation on four-axle truck chassis, which helps preserve useful payload capacity and improves transport efficiency compared with larger heavy-duty crane installations.

A key component of the crane’s performance is the new V12-Power boom design, which features a dodecagonal (12-sided) boom profile. This structural geometry improves the balance between strength and weight, allowing the crane to maintain high lifting capacity while keeping the boom sections compact and lightweight. The boom and jib structures are designed to fit within a section width of approximately two metres, further contributing to the crane’s compact installation footprint.

The crane is operated through SPACEevo, Effer’s new generation electronic control platform. This system provides precise and responsive crane movements even when operating at higher speeds. SPACEevo integrates advanced control algorithms and monitoring systems that continuously evaluate crane operating conditions, helping to improve both productivity and operational safety.

An important feature of the SPACEevo platform is the VSL+ (Variable Stability Limit Plus) system. This system dynamically calculates the available lifting capacity based on the position of the stabiliser legs and the overall vehicle configuration, including the total weight of the truck. By continuously evaluating the crane’s stability conditions, the system can maximise lifting performance while ensuring safe operation.

SPACEevo is also designed as an open and modular control platform, allowing operators and fleet owners to add new features or upgrade existing functions as they become available. This modular architecture ensures that the crane can evolve over time as new technologies and control capabilities are introduced.

The crane can be operated using the standard XS Drive remote control system, which provides proportional control of crane movements. As an optional upgrade, the crane can be equipped with the CombiDrive 4 remote control, a new control unit designed to enhance operator awareness and safety. The CombiDrive 4 system features three high-definition colour displays, improved brightness for outdoor visibility, and a long-life battery. It also incorporates the Confirm View function, which helps operators identify the safest and most effective working position by providing guidance on the optimal field of view.

For markets outside the European regulatory framework, the crane is also available in non-CE configurations, which are equipped with the Space X4 control system and can be paired with the optional CombiDrive 3 remote control.

The hydraulic system of the crane incorporates a variable displacement pump, which adjusts hydraulic oil flow according to lifting demand. This improves hydraulic efficiency by delivering higher flow rates when heavy lifting is required while reducing energy consumption during lighter operations. The result is improved crane performance combined with reduced fuel consumption for the carrier vehicle.

To ensure long-term durability, the iQ.1200 HP uses Effer’s nano-based protective coating technology, which protects the crane’s structural components against corrosion, rust, and environmental exposure. This protective treatment helps maintain the crane’s structural integrity and visual appearance while preserving long-term residual value.

The crane is CE marked, confirming compliance with European safety and performance standards for lifting equipment.

Overall, the Effer iQ.1200 HP represents a modern heavy-duty loader crane that combines 110 tonne-metre lifting capacity, compact installation dimensions, and advanced electronic control systems. By delivering the performance of its lifting class while maintaining the size and weight advantages of smaller cranes, the machine provides contractors with a versatile lifting solution suitable for construction, infrastructure installation, industrial logistics, and heavy material handling operations.
