Unic URW547C Load Chart PDF + Specifications

The UNIC URW-547C is a compact mini crawler crane designed for confined working environments such as urban construction sites, indoor installations, and maintenance operations. With a maximum lifting capacity of 4.05 tonnes at a 2.5 m radius and a seven-section telescopic boom reaching up to 18.02 m, the URW-547C combines strong lifting capability with a narrow transport width of only 1.38 m. Its crawler chassis, hydraulic outriggers, and optional electric power unit allow the crane to operate efficiently in restricted spaces and sensitive environments where conventional mobile cranes cannot access.

Unic URW547C 4.05t mini crane with 18.20m max. lifting height

Key Features & Benefits

The UNIC URW-547C is part of UNIC’s well-known spider crane lineup, developed to provide high lifting performance within extremely compact dimensions. The crane is built on a crawler chassis with a total transport width of 1,380 mm, overall height of 1,980 mm, and length of 4,950 mm, allowing it to pass through narrow access points and operate inside buildings or tight industrial facilities. The overall operating weight of the machine is approximately 5,070 kg, increasing slightly to about 5,220 kg depending on configuration and equipment.

At the heart of the URW-547C is a seven-section box-type telescopic boom that extends from 3.99 m to 18.02 m, providing substantial reach for a crane of its size. The boom can be raised from 0° to 80° in about 18 seconds, while the telescoping operation extends the boom by 14.03 m in roughly 35 seconds. With this configuration, the crane achieves a maximum hook height of approximately 18.2 m above ground level and can also reach 22.9 m below ground level when using a four-part reeving system, making it suitable for lifting operations in deep shafts or basements. The maximum working radius reaches 17.83 m, enabling the crane to perform lifting tasks at extended distances while maintaining stability through its hydraulic outrigger system.

The lifting system is equipped with a high-performance winch using an 8 mm diameter wire rope with a total length of 103 m, constructed with an IWRC L6 × P-WS(26) design and a breaking strength of approximately 53 kN. The single-line hoisting speed reaches up to 56 m/min, while the hook speed with a four-part line is approximately 14 m/min. The crane uses a 4-tonne hook block with two sheaves and a safety latch, ensuring secure lifting during operations. Slewing is performed through a ball-bearing race mechanism that provides 360-degree continuous rotation, with a slewing speed of approximately 2.5 rpm.

The machine’s stability is ensured by a hydraulically operated outrigger system that uses double-acting hydraulic cylinders with an automatic locking mechanism. Multiple outrigger extension positions allow the crane to adapt to different jobsite constraints. When combined with the safe load indicator option and ground contact detection system, the outriggers contribute to maintaining safe lifting conditions even in restricted workspaces.

For mobility, the URW-547C is mounted on a crawler undercarriage that provides excellent maneuverability and ground traction. The crane travels at a maximum crawling speed of up to 3 km/h, with independent hydraulic drive for the left and right tracks to allow precise steering and positioning. The crawler system uses tracks measuring 1,750 mm in length and 300 mm in width, producing relatively low ground pressure and allowing the crane to operate on sensitive surfaces. It also has a gradeability of approximately 23 degrees, enabling it to move across moderate slopes on construction sites.

Power for the crane is provided by a Yanmar 3TNV80F diesel engine with a displacement of 1,266 cc, producing a maximum output of 15.2 kW (20.7 PS) at 2,500 rpm. The fuel tank capacity is 40 liters, providing adequate endurance for extended lifting operations. For indoor or emission-sensitive environments, the URW-547C can also be equipped with an optional electric power unit rated at 7.5 kW, operating on AC 200 V or AC 400 V three-phase power, which allows the crane to work without engine exhaust emissions.

The crane incorporates numerous safety and operational features typical of UNIC’s mini crawler series. These include a radio remote control system for operator convenience, automatic overwind protection, boom angle indicators with load monitoring, emergency stop functions, winch braking systems, and optional safe load indicators with digital load meters and overload protection. Additional safety devices such as outrigger interlocks and ground contact detectors further enhance operational safety during lifting tasks.

Overall, the UNIC URW-547C is designed as a versatile mini crawler crane capable of performing lifting operations in locations where traditional cranes cannot operate. Its compact dimensions, relatively high lifting capacity, long telescopic boom, and flexible power options make it suitable for applications such as glass installation, steel erection, building maintenance, and indoor industrial work. The combination of mobility, reach, and advanced safety systems has made the URW-547C one of the widely used models within UNIC’s spider crane range.
