Tadano GR600EX
The Tadano GR-600EX (also known as GR750XL in North American markets) is a 60-ton rough terrain crane featuring a 5-section telescoping boom extending from 11.0 m to 43.0 m, with an optional jib extending up to 17.7 m. Powered by a 200 kW Mitsubishi engine, the crane offers efficient hoisting, excellent maneuverability with 4-wheel steering, and is equipped with Tadano’s AML-C safety system for precise lifting operations.

Product Description
The Tadano GR-600EX is a versatile 60-ton (60,000 kg at 3.0 m radius) class rough terrain crane designed for high-performance lifting in off-road and compact jobsite environments. It is equipped with a robust 5-section round box-type telescoping boom that stretches from 11.0 meters to 43.0 meters and is controlled through a partially synchronized hydraulic system. The boom extension is smooth and precise, reaching its full length in just 128 seconds. The crane is also fitted with a two-stage swing-around jib offering lengths of 10.1 meters or 17.7 meters, with triple offset angles of 3.5°, 25°, and 45°, enhancing versatility for higher reach or complex pick-and-carry operations.
The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6M60-TL turbocharged 6-cylinder diesel engine delivering 200 kW at 2,600 rpm, coupled with an electronically controlled automatic 6-speed transmission. The drivetrain allows for selectable 4×2 or 4×4 operations with multiple steering modes (2-wheel front, 2-wheel rear, 4-wheel coordinated, and crab steering) to optimize maneuverability in tight job sites. The crane offers a maximum travel speed of 36 km/h and impressive off-road gradeability up to 147%.
The GR-600EX features a heavy-duty hydraulic system with dual axial piston pumps for boom functions and a tandem gear pump for swing and steering operations. Both the main and auxiliary winches are independently controlled and provide a single line pull of 54.9 kN and line speeds of up to 136 m/min with spin-resistant 19 mm ropes.
To ensure safety and operational efficiency, the GR-600EX is equipped with Tadano’s AML-C (Automatic Moment Limiter) system. This system displays critical data such as boom angle, load radius, load as a percentage of capacity, outrigger position, hook height, and more. The system offers audible and visual overload warnings and automatic function cut-off to prevent unsafe operations.
The crane also provides exceptional stability with hydraulically operated H-type outriggers, which can be extended to a maximum width of 7.3 m and retracted to as narrow as 2.7 m. The outrigger system allows for independent or simultaneous control and comes with extension width detectors for each outrigger.
The cab is ergonomically designed with a tilt-adjustable seat, hot water heater, air-conditioning, and large windows for maximum visibility. It supports both travel and lifting operations from a single location and includes modern operator comfort features such as power windows, windshield wipers, and integrated controls.
The GR-600EX has a compact footprint with an overall length of approximately 13.38 meters, width of 3.315 meters, and height of 3.79 meters. It has a gross vehicle mass of around 43.7 tons, split nearly equally between the front and rear axles. The integral counterweight weighs 5,670 kg and is housed within the swing frame.
This crane is well-suited for diverse lifting tasks in urban construction, industrial facilities, and energy sectors where space and terrain pose significant challenges.
