Demag AC 100

The Demag AC 100 all-terrain crane, engineered with both strength and mobility in mind, offers a rated lifting capacity of 100 metric tons and features a rugged 10x6x8 carrier configuration built on a monobox main frame of high-strength, fine-grain structural steel. The crane is supported by hydraulically telescoping outrigger beams equipped with jack legs to ensure stability under heavy loads.

The carrier is powered by a DaimlerChrysler OM 502 LA, a water-cooled V8 diesel engine producing 350 kW (476 HP) at 1800 rpm, with a max torque of 2300 Nm at 1300 rpm. The transmission features a 16-range automated gearbox with longitudinal differential lockout, cruise control, and smooth uniform acceleration and deceleration for both travel and maneuvering. Its hydropneumatic suspension system keeps the ride stable across all ten wheels, which are single-wheeled and fitted with 14.00 R 25 tyres.

In the superstructure, the crane operates with a dedicated OM 904 LA 4-cylinder inline diesel engine generating 129 kW (175 HP) at 2200 rpm, driving a variable displacement axial piston pump that powers all key crane functions—hoist, slew, and boom operations.

The main boom is a 4-section telescopic design fabricated from fine grain steel, incorporating the ovaloid profile developed by Demag for added torsional resistance and strength under load. Boom extensions are available as optional jibs—either 9.2 m or 17.0 m, with further extensibility to 25.0 m and 33.0 m, and offsets of 0°, 20°, and 40°, allowing high adaptability in various rigging conditions.

Inside the crane cab, operators are equipped with electronic load indicators, digital readouts for parameters such as load, angle, radius, and boom length, along with limit switches, pressure-relief systems, and safety valves on hoist functions. The cab itself is a spacious, sliding-door, armoured-glass enclosure, with tiltable windscreen, heater, wipers, and AC, ensuring comfort and all-weather operability.

The Demag AC 100 also includes:
