Product Description

The Krupp KMK 6200 is a high-performance 200-ton all terrain crane, built for handling large-scale lifting tasks with versatility and strength. Its design integrates a KRUPP torsion-resistant, box-welded steel chassis equipped with a total of six axles. Four telescoping hydraulic outriggers and a leveling device ensure stability during operations, even under challenging surface conditions.

Powered by a robust Mercedes Benz OM 444 A 12-cylinder diesel engine producing 405 kW (551 hp) at 2100 rpm, the chassis provides the necessary torque and mobility. It is matched with an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission and includes a hydrodynamic retarder integrated into the gearbox for permanent braking. With six axles—two of which are powered and steerable—this configuration enhances maneuverability. The crane travels at speeds up to 74 km/h, aided by 14.00 R 25 tires and a full pneumatic service brake system.

The superstructure is similarly robust, also using a Mercedes Benz OM 447 A 6-cylinder engine generating 298 kW (405 hp), paired with a closed-loop hydraulic system comprising axial piston pumps. The crane’s hydraulics control all boom, slewing, and winch functions via electro-hydraulic proportional controls. The boom is a 4-section telescopic unit with continuous extension, reaching a total of 53.0 meters. Boom elevation ranges from -1.2° to +85°, managed by double-acting hydraulic cylinders. The crane can be further extended using a 21.0–56.0 meter jib system in 7-meter increments.

The crane’s cab is fabricated from aluminum, ergonomically designed for visibility and comfort. It includes full instrumentation, heating, and integrated control systems. Safety is paramount, with features including an electronic moment limiter (EKS 831), overhoist protection, and visual and acoustic warnings for overload or operational errors.

Built for demanding jobsites and high-capacity lifts, the Krupp KMK 6200 balances muscle and mobility, making it a dependable choice for power plant, bridge, and heavy construction work.
