Product Description
The LTM 1090/2 is engineered to handle loads up to 90 tons at a 3-meter radius. Its sophisticated telescopic boom stretches from 11.7 meters to 52 meters, providing substantial reach and versatility. The addition of a 19-meter biparted swing-away jib increases the maximum hook height to 72 meters, ideal for high-rise construction tasks.
Boom and Jib Configurations
The crane’s six-section boom is noted for its torsional rigidity and stability, enhanced by maintenance-free polyamide slide pads. The swing-away jib can be rigged at angles of 0°, 15°, 30°, or 45°, further extending operational capabilities. This setup allows for 23 different telescoping combinations, maximizing the crane’s adaptability to various job requirements.
Engine and Emissions
Powering this crane is a robust 300 kW (408 hp) Liebherr turbocharged diesel engine that meets Euro II emission standards, ensuring efficient performance and compliance with environmental regulations. This engine is paired with an Allison automatic transmission, featuring electronic control and five forward speeds plus one reverse, tailored for rough-terrain handling.
Drive and Steering System
The LTM 1090/2 offers two driving configurations: 8×6 for standard conditions, with axles 1, 3, and 4 driven, and 8×8 for challenging terrains, providing all-wheel drive. It features all-wheel steering, including independent rear-axle steering (crab steering), which greatly improves maneuverability and stability on diverse ground conditions.
Safety and Control Systems
Equipped with the innovative LICCON computer system, the crane provides precise load moment indication, automatic speed regulation, and the ability to perform a functional test of all essential components. This system allows operators to execute smooth and safe lifting operations, adhering strictly to safety standards.
Additional Features
The crane’s compact design includes an overall length of just 13.24 meters and a turning radius of 7.88 meters, enabling it to operate in confined spaces. It also offers variable counterweight configurations (1.2 t to 20 t), which can be easily managed from the crane cab, enhancing operational flexibility without the need for additional lifting equipment.
The LTM 1090/2 merges high lifting capacity with advanced technology and ergonomic design, making it a top choice for a wide range of lifting tasks in the construction and industrial sectors.
