Product Description
The Liebherr LTM 1090/2 represents a reliable and performance-driven 90-ton all-terrain crane built on a robust torsion-resistant, box-type frame crafted from high-tensile steel. Its all-hydraulic 4-point support system ensures solid stability during lifting operations. The LTM 1090/2 is powered by a 6-cylinder water-cooled Liebherr diesel engine (D 9406 TI) that delivers 300 kW (408 HP) at 2100 rpm and maximum torque of 1700 Nm at 1500 rpm. The carrier features a fuel tank capacity of 400 liters and is compliant with ECE and EUROMOT emissions standards.
Power is transmitted through an Allison HD 4560 automatic gearbox with torque converter, offering 6 forward and 1 reverse gear, along with a transfer case configured for off-road ranges. All axles are steered, and axles 1, 3, and 4 are equipped with planetary gears and differential locks, ensuring excellent off-road and maneuverability performance. Hydropneumatic suspension with hydraulic locking and automatic leveling enhances ride comfort and adaptability on uneven surfaces. The LTM 1090/2 runs on 8 tires sized 16.00 R25 and includes a hydraulic power steering system with dual circuits and a mechanical-hydrostatic backup from the cab.
The crane superstructure is driven by a 4-cylinder Liebherr D 924 T-E diesel engine rated at 120 kW (163 HP) with 720 Nm torque, supported by a 300-liter fuel reservoir. The crane utilizes a diesel-hydraulic system that incorporates a duplex axial piston pump and a gear-type pump, offering smooth, efficient operation across all load-handling functions.
The LTM 1090/2’s telescopic boom system includes one base section and five hydraulically extendable sections, reaching a maximum length of 52 meters. A folding jib between 10.8 and 19 meters can be mounted with angles at 0°, 15°, 30°, or 45°, increasing operational height and flexibility. All boom sections can be extended independently using a single telescoping cylinder. Lifting functions are managed by axial piston motors powering the hoist drums with planetary gears and spring-loaded static brakes. A second hoist gear is optionally available for two-hook operations or folding jib support.
The crane cab is ergonomically designed and fully galvanized with tinted safety glazing, heating, and well-positioned controls. LICCON safety features include load moment indicators, limit switches, safety valves, and protections against hose rupture and pipe failures. The electrical system is powered by a 24V circuit with dual batteries, ensuring consistent performance in all working conditions.
Designed for optimal flexibility and safety, the Liebherr LTM 1090/2 blends lifting power, operational precision, and maneuverability in a rugged yet operator-friendly package, making it ideal for both urban and remote project applications.
