Grove AP410

The Grove AP410 is a versatile 10-ton carry deck crane designed for industrial and construction environments. It features a robust three-section trapezoidal boom that can extend from 10.5 ft to 24 ft (3.2 m to 7.3 m), providing a maximum tip height of 29 ft (8.8 m). For increased reach, there is an optional boom extension that adds up to 35 ft (10.7 m) of tip height. Additionally, an optional swingaway extension can extend the reach further to 39 ft (11.9 m), enhancing its versatility for a variety of lifting tasks.

The AP410’s boom system operates using telescopic sections with low-friction wear pads for reduced maintenance, and is controlled through a single lever for smooth operations. The crane also offers optional configurations such as a swingaway extension or telescopic swingaway with offset link capabilities.

In terms of power, the AP410 is equipped with a Cummins 4B3.9L four-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, generating 82 hp (61 kW) at 2,500 RPM, with a torque of 184 ft-lbs (250 Nm) at 1,200 RPM. For customers seeking an alternative, there is an optional Continental TM4.72L four-cylinder gas engine rated at 66 hp (49 kW). The crane features a 30-gallon (114 L) fuel tank, providing ample capacity for extended operations.

The crane’s hydraulic system is highly efficient, utilizing two main pumps delivering a combined capacity of 54.4 GPM (205.7 LPM). This system supports smooth and precise boom, hoist, and swing operations through dual control valves. The main hoist offers a three-speed system with a maximum single-line speed of 144 feet per minute (44 m/min) and a single-line pull capacity of 7,400 lbs (3,356 kg).

Stability during lifting operations is ensured by a front and rear outrigger system with hydraulic control. The crane has a maximum outrigger load capacity of 16,410 lbs (7,439 kg), making it suitable for heavy lifts on uneven surfaces. The crane also features an automatic planetary swing system, providing smooth 360° continuous rotation at a speed of 1.5 RPM.

The AP410 is fitted with a full driving cabin, which includes advanced monitoring systems, engine controls, and deluxe seating for operator comfort. Safety is a key focus, with features such as load moment indicators, anti-two block systems, and multiple warnings for potential overloads.

This crane operates on a 4×2 drive system, allowing for strong maneuverability on job sites. Its top speed is 17 mph (27 km/h) with the automatic transmission option, or 29 mph (46.7 km/h) with manual transmission.
