Shuttlelift 5560B

The Shuttlelift 5560B is a robust and versatile carry deck crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 18 US tons (16.3 metric tons). It features a four-section, full-power boom that extends from 18.6 feet to 54 feet (5.6 to 16.6 meters), offering a maximum tip height of 62 feet 6 inches (19.0 meters). For added reach, a 15-foot (4.6-meter) offsettable swingaway extension is optionally available.

This crane is engineered for easy maneuverability in confined spaces. It features 2-wheel, 4-wheel, and crab steering modes with an electric self-alignment system. Drive is provided by a 4×2 front-axle drivetrain, and it rides on 385/65R22.5 radial tires.

Powering the 5560B is an I.T.L. powershift 4-speed transmission connected to a Cummins QSB 3.3L turbocharged diesel engine rated at 99 bhp (73.8 kW) at 2600 rpm, with an optional 101 bhp EFI dual-fuel (gasoline/LPG) engine available. It includes a 40-gallon (151.4-liter) fuel tank and a matching hydraulic oil reservoir with sight level and temperature indicators.

The crane’s hoist system supports a maximum hoist single line pull of 9,000 lb (4,082 kg), and the maximum line speed reaches up to 158 feet per minute (48.2 m/min). It uses a piston motor with spring-applied, hydraulically released brakes, and its rope length extends to 310 feet (94.5 meters).

Operator functionality and safety are top priorities, with a fully enclosed, weather-resistant cab including a suspension seat, heater, windshield wiper, safety lights, and an overhead safety glass. The Shuttlelift 5560B is equipped with Shuttlelift’s intuitive Load Moment Indicator (LMI), Rated Capacity Limiter (RCL), wireless Load Indicator (LSI), and anti-two block systems to ensure precise control and safe lifting.

The unit also includes recessed lighting, rearview mirrors, and multiple lifting and tie-down lugs for secure transportation. Its rugged frame construction, hydraulic telescoping outriggers, and tight turning radius make the 5560B a reliable performer on varied job sites.
