The Shuttlelift 5550RT is a rugged, compact 15-ton (13.6 metric ton) carry deck crane engineered for tight spaces, efficient lifting, and precise load handling across industrial facilities, warehouses, power plants, and construction job sites. As part of Shuttlelift’s 5500 Series, this model emphasizes versatility, operator ease, and durable rough terrain performance.

It comes equipped with a 4-section hydraulic boom that retracts to 11’6″ (3.5 m) and extends up to 40’8″ (12.4 m). For additional reach, it supports a 15-foot (4.6 m) off-settable jib, increasing its lifting height and flexibility in elevated operations. The boom offers a full 0° to 80° elevation range, making it adaptable for both vertical and angled lifts. A combination of lifting accessories—such as a 15-ton main block, a 5-ton ball, and a 210 lb (95.3 kg) hook—enhances its load-handling versatility.

The crane is powered by a Cummins 4BT3.9 diesel engine delivering 110 hp at 2500 rpm, providing ample torque for both lifting operations and rough-terrain travel. The transmission is a 4-speed powershift system, offering smooth transitions across various terrains. Full-time four-wheel drive is standard, with independent control of front and rear outriggers, which allows quick stabilization and deployment on uneven ground.

The 5550RT features a full carry deck that supports a combined boom and deck load of 16,000 lb (7,258 kg) and a deck-only load of up to 20,000 lb (9,072 kg). The hoisting system includes a 9.75″ main winch drum with ½” (12.7 mm) wire rope, supporting line speeds up to 225 ft/min (68.6 m/min) and single line pull ratings of 7,500 lb (3,402 kg). Optional recessed winch offers 26 ft/min line speed for lower-height clearance work.
