Demag CC 2500-1

The Demag CC 2500-1 is a 500-ton crawler crane, representing a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the CC 2500, which had a rated capacity of 450 tons. This enhancement brings increased lifting performance and operational flexibility, making it ideal for demanding lifting operations in construction, energy, and industrial projects.

The CC 2500-1 benefits from its exceptional load moment capacity of 6140 t·m, offering robust lifting capabilities across a variety of applications. This model retains the core strengths of the CC 2500 but incorporates modern upgrades in power, safety, and performance, positioning it at the top of its class for heavy-lift operations. The crane features the innovative Superlift system, which significantly enhances stability and lifting capacity for heavy loads. With variable Superlift radius options, operators can optimize the counterweight position based on specific job requirements, allowing for greater precision in lifting operations.

Designed for ease of transport, each component of the crane weighs less than 39 tons, which simplifies logistics and ensures efficient transport to different job sites. This optimization allows the crane to be quickly assembled and disassembled, making it an ideal choice for projects requiring frequent relocations.

The crane is powered by a DaimlerChrysler OM 501 LA engine, delivering 315 kW (420 hp) at 2000 rpm. This engine drives a hydraulic system featuring five variable displacement axial piston pumps, which ensure smooth control over hoisting, slewing, and boom extension functions. The crane offers superior control and precision, even during complex lifting tasks under heavy loads.

The boom configurations of the CC 2500-1 are versatile, ranging from 24 to 126 meters in length. The SH configuration provides a main boom length of 24 to 72 meters, while the SH/LH setup can extend the boom up to 102 meters. For tasks requiring extended reach, the SSL/LSL configuration offers boom lengths up to 126 meters. Additionally, the crane is equipped with luffing jib options, with lengths ranging from 12 to 84 meters, enabling even greater flexibility for high-reaching and challenging lifting tasks.

The crane includes electronic load indicators, hoist and boom movement limit switches, hydraulic boom backstops, and an anemometer for wind monitoring. The IC-1 crane control system, featuring a touchscreen interface, provides real-time diagnostics and load monitoring, further enhancing operational safety and efficiency. The operator cab is spacious and equipped with large safety-glazed windows, full instrumentation, air conditioning, and heating, ensuring a comfortable working environment for long hours of operation.

The Superlift system, which allows for the addition of up to 250 tons of counterweight, further increases the crane’s lifting capabilities. The Superlift radius is adjustable to match specific project requirements, maximizing stability during heavy lifts.
