Product Description
The Demag CC 2800-1 is a powerful crawler crane in the 600-ton class, based on the design of its predecessor, the CC 2800. This heavy-lifting crane is engineered for large-scale construction, petrochemical, and wind energy projects, where immense lifting capacity and high reach are critical. With its maximum lifting capacity of 600 tonnes, this crane is designed to handle substantial loads with impressive precision.
The crawler carrier features a three-section design, with side frames and crawlers that are easily removable for transportation. Each crawler is powered by hydraulic motors, offering independent and infinite control, which aids in maneuverability and lifting stability.
The superstructure is driven by an MTU diesel engine, providing 390 kW (530 hp) of power at 1800 rpm, paired with a pump distribution gearbox. The crane utilizes three hydraulic rope drums for hoisting and luffing operations, each featuring hydraulic multi-disc brakes for smooth control during heavy load operations.
Key Performance Parameters:
- Counterweight: 160 tonnes (additional central ballast option of 20 tonnes)
- Boom Lengths: The SH and SH/LH configurations offer lengths ranging from 24 m to 102 m. Superlift-equipped versions extend the boom capacity further to 138 m.
- Boom Configurations: Lattice-type tubular construction available in multiple variations, including SH, SW, SSL, SW/S, and LF. The crane can handle complex job sites requiring extended reach and high-capacity lifts.
- Superlift System: Provides enhanced stability and lifting performance with counterweight options adjustable between 50 and 300 tonnes, depending on the configuration.
- Luffing Fly Jib: Ranging from 24 m to 96 m, allowing for high-reach tasks like wind turbine erection.
Transport and Setup:
- Optimized Transport: All components of the crane are designed for transport-friendly weights, with no part exceeding 39 tonnes. This makes the CC 2800-1 highly versatile and mobile between job sites.
- Assembly Jacks: Hydraulic jacks enable easy assembly of the crawlers, further enhancing onsite flexibility.
Safety and Control:
- Control System: Equipped with Demag’s IC-1 electronic control system, this crane offers precise monitoring, load safety indicators, and user-friendly touchscreen operation. The system integrates diagnostics, ensuring smooth and reliable operation during extended periods of heavy lifting.
- Safety Devices: Include electronic load indicators, hoist limit switches, and hydraulic boom backstops to ensure safe operation across all boom configurations.
This crane’s high single line pull of 146 kN makes it highly efficient in applications requiring substantial pulling force. Additionally, the variable Superlift radius allows for maximum lifting capacity to be utilized across a variety of working conditions, making it a versatile and powerful machine for large-scale industrial and construction projects.
S7 Power Kit
Terex increases the capacity by adding stronger segments to the boom of the crane because those sections are highly loaded. The new improvement is able to add up to four sections to the CC2800-1. This increases the crane capacities and the standard crane boom length of 126m can be also increased to 138m.
Narrow Track Version
The CC2800-1 NT is a narrow track version of the 600 ton CC2800-1, designed to travel down narrow roads, especially for windmill erection. Terex introduced a special car body to which the crawlers are connected. The side outriggers can be folded up so that when moving between locations and there are obstacles, the outriggers can be lifted up to reduce the crawler’s width. The articulated outrigger can be folded beside the crane to reduce the transport width significantly to 5.2m, travelling through in confined workspaces.
