Product Description
Crawler Undercarriage
The undercarriage of the Demag CC 4800 is robust, comprising the carbody and two crawler units that are detachable to meet strict transport width and weight requirements. The carbody’s box-section design is optimized for high bending and torsion resistance, built with fine-grained, high-grade steel. The crawler units, featuring 17 bottom rollers with hardened treads, provide maximum durability and stability.
Superstructure
The upper frame of the CC 4800 is a testament to engineering precision, featuring a torsion-resisting, high-strength steel structure. The power is derived from a Mercedes-Benz OM424 LA engine, delivering 452kW of power and adhering to stringent emission standards. Its hydraulic system comprises variable displacement pumps and a gear-type hydraulic pump for fluid, responsive control.
Performance and Equipment
The Demag CC 4800 is designed for excellent lifting performance and high work efficiency. With a maximum lifting moment of 390t.m, this crane can handle significant weights across its various boom configurations. The hoisting system is well-equipped with multiple winches, each with a free-fall function and high line speeds to enhance lifting operations. The crane’s slewing system is controlled hydraulically, ensuring precise maneuvers during heavy lifts.
Transportation and Assembly
Designed with transportation logistics in mind, the CC 4800 can be transported with a width as narrow as 3 meters, keeping in line with the 3-meter transportation class. Its boom and jib sections are engineered for swift assembly and disassembly, further facilitating ease of transport and reducing costs.
Boom Combinations and Capacity
This crane offers an array of boom combinations, such as Main Boom, Fly Jib, and various Superlift configurations. The SH/LH version allows for main boom lengths up to 90m, while the SSL/LSL version extends this capability up to 126m with the Superlift mast, significantly enhancing its range for high-reaching tasks.
Optional Equipment
The CC 4800’s optional equipment list includes an additional hoist drum and a boom hoist, providing operators with greater flexibility to tackle complex lifting requirements.
This crane represents Demag’s commitment to combining high-capacity lifting with operational efficiency and transportability, making it an asset for large-scale industrial and construction projects.
