Product Description

The Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX3500-3 is a powerful crawler crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 350 tons at a 5-meter working radius in liftcrane configuration. The crane offers versatile setup options to meet different lifting requirements, with a basic boom length of 18 meters extendable to a maximum of 72 meters for liftcrane applications. It is also equipped for luffing towercrane operations, featuring tower lengths from 24 to 60 meters, with luffing jib extensions ranging from 40 to 60 meters.

The crane’s performance is supported by a Cummins QSL9 diesel engine, which produces a rated output of 272 kW (370 PS) at 2,000 rpm. The engine complies with Stage IV / Tier 4 final emission standards, ensuring fuel efficiency and reduced environmental impact. The SCX3500-3 is engineered for high-capacity lifting with advanced hydraulic systems that provide reliable and smooth operation across a range of demanding tasks.

The crane’s rope line speed is optimized for efficient lifting operations, with front and rear main drum speeds of 110 meters per minute, ensuring rapid and precise handling of heavy loads. The boom hoist drum operates at 34 meters per minute, while the luffing jib hoist drum reaches speeds of 55 meters per minute, allowing for flexible and quick adjustments in luffing towercrane configurations.

The SCX3500-3 offers a slewing speed of 0.86 rpm, providing steady and controlled rotational movement for accurate load positioning. Its travel speed is adjustable between 0.9 km/h in high mode and 0.45 km/h in low mode, allowing the crane to move efficiently across job sites. The crane has a gradeability of 30%, making it suitable for operation on inclined surfaces.

Ground contact pressure varies based on configuration: 136 kPa in liftcrane mode with an 18-meter boom, and up to 152 kPa in luffing towercrane mode with a maximum tower and jib configuration. This ensures stability and safe operation across different ground conditions. The operating weight is approximately 321 tons with an 18-meter boom and 350-ton hook, or 360 tons in luffing towercrane mode with a full tower and jib setup.

The SCX3500-3 is well-suited for large-scale construction, infrastructure development, and other heavy lifting projects. Its combination of robust lifting capacity, versatile configurations, and compliance with modern emission standards make it a reliable choice for challenging lifting tasks.
