Key Features & Benefits
The SANY SCC12500A is a high-capacity crawler crane designed for complex lifting scenarios across industries such as wind power, petrochemicals, and infrastructure. This model made its debut in the ultra-large lifting segment and has been developed with a lifting capacity of 1250 tons at a 12-meter working radius when using the superlift configuration. In standard mode, it can handle 800 tons at a 7-meter radius.
Structurally, the SCC12500A integrates a spatial lattice boom system, composed of welded high-strength steel tubes with modular sections. The main boom extends from 30 to 108 meters when equipped with a superlift. The luffing jib ranges from 30 to 114 meters, and the maximum combined configuration is an impressive 108 meters (boom) + 114 meters (luffing jib). A fixed jib of 12 meters is also available for certain lifting configurations.
In terms of power, the crane is driven by two Mercedes-Benz engines, each rated at 315 kW at 1800 rpm, with a maximum torque output of 2100 N·m at 1300 rpm. The engines are compliant with Euro Stage III and optionally Stage IV emission standards.
The hydraulic system features a closed-loop design with load-sensing technology, offering efficient, responsive, and reliable performance across the main functional mechanisms—hoisting, luffing, slewing, and traveling. The main winches can reach a rope speed of up to 140 m/min, with a single line pull of 22.5 tons, and use 32 mm diameter wire rope with a 1,550-meter rope length. The auxiliary winch offers similar performance with a 600-meter rope length.
The slewing mechanism employs dual motors, allowing for 360° continuous rotation with a maximum slewing speed of 0.9 rpm. Traveling speed is capped at 0.8 km/h, and the unit demonstrates a 20% gradeability with base boom setup. Ground bearing pressure with base boom and full counterweight is kept to 0.14 MPa.
For stability and balance, the crane uses a sophisticated counterweight system, including 90 tons of carbody counterweight, 250 tons of rear counterweight, and up to 450 tons of superlift counterweight. The crane’s total working weight in the standard configuration with base boom and 1250t hook is 777 tons.
Advanced safety and control features include an in-house Load Moment Limiter (LML), over-hoist/over-lowering protection systems, angle limiters for boom/jib, back-stop cylinders, and automatic diagnostics. The crane also offers remote monitoring, video recording, and proactive safety measures that adjust slewing speeds based on boom length and oil temperature thresholds.
The SCC12500A can be transported in modular sections, with the largest transport piece measuring 15.3m x 3.5m x 3.2m and weighing up to 54 tons, ensuring roadability within many global logistics standards.
Overall, the SCC12500A reflects SANY’s pursuit of high-performance, large-capacity lifting solutions by combining cutting-edge structural design, engine power, hydraulic efficiency, and operational flexibility in a single crawler platform.
