Product Description
Launched as a flagship model in Tadano’s truck crane lineup, the TG-3600M-2 represents a pinnacle of heavy-duty mobile crane engineering. Mounted on a NISSAN DIESEL KC-KL630YN 6-axle carrier, the crane is powered by a V10 4-cycle, 26,507cc diesel engine producing 450 PS at 2200 rpm and 160 kg·m torque. This drivetrain offers a top travel speed of 60 km/h and gradeability of 31%, ideal for both job site mobility and over-the-road transport.
The boom system consists of a 5-section, 14.2m to 51.0m hydraulically telescoping box-type boom, using a 9.2m stroke. It delivers outstanding lifting capacities: 360 tons at 3.0m radius (17-part line x 2) and 130 tons at 6.0m to 7.0m radius on the 31m to 32.6m boom lengths. With the main boom alone, it achieves a maximum height of 51.0m and a working radius of 46.0m.
The TG-3600M-2 offers optional fully automatic luffing jibs and manual luffing jibs that significantly extend its reach and versatility:
- The fully automatic luffing jib ranges from 11.1m to 35.1m, providing a max lifting height of 88.0m and working radius of 70.0m.
- The manual luffing jib ranges from 17m to 70m, and in its maximum configuration with extension jib, can reach 119.0m in height and 90.0m in radius.
A full range of hooks—from 180-ton (17-part line) to 12.5-ton (1-part line)—ensures optimal setup for different loads. Dual winches provide single line speeds of 145m/min on the 5th layer, and the crane operates with hydraulic variable motors via planetary gear reducers.
Stability is provided by a 3-step fully hydraulic H-type outrigger system with widths up to 8.8m. The crane is equipped with automatic moment limiter (AML), outrigger extension detectors, swing lock systems, and other advanced safety devices. A front jack and dual rear hydraulic jacks with ground pressure sensors add further operational security.
Hydraulics include 2 variable piston pumps and 2 gear pumps, drawing from a 2,630-liter oil tank for upper operations. The superstructure features a dedicated V8 engine (16,991cc, 270 PS), separate from the carrier’s powerplant.
Ease of operation is enhanced by features such as creep mode for swing and hoist, a boom dismount device, and full cab air-conditioning. With a turning radius of 11.8m, this massive crane retains reasonable maneuverability.
The Tadano TG-3600M-2 is a highly capable crane engineered for the most demanding lifting tasks, from power plant erection to bridge segment lifts and wind turbine assembly. It stands as one of the most versatile and powerful truck cranes in its class.
