Product Description
The Mammoet PTC200-DS is a state-of-the-art ring crane engineered to handle the most demanding lifting operations. With a maximum lifting capacity of 5,000 tonnes, it stands as one of the most powerful cranes in the world. Its design allows for a wide range of lifting configurations, including main boom with superlift, main boom with fixed jib and superlift, and main boom with luffing jib and superlift.
In its Superlift configuration, the PTC200-DS can achieve a maximum lifting moment of 1,470.4 t·m (10,365 lbf·ft), with a ring diameter of 39.4 to 49.5 meters and a ballast capacity ranging from 3,000 to 3,500 tonnes. This configuration is suitable for heavy lifts at various radii, providing flexibility and power for complex lifting tasks.
The crane’s modular design facilitates efficient transport and assembly, with components designed to meet global transportation standards. This design approach reduces setup time and costs, making the PTC200-DS an economical choice for large-scale projects.
Safety is paramount in the PTC200-DS’s design. It is equipped with advanced load monitoring systems, overload protection, and automatic hoist speed reduction features to ensure safe operation under all conditions. Additionally, the crane’s ability to withstand extreme weather conditions, including hurricanes and temperatures ranging from -40°C to 55°C, allows it to operate in some of the harshest environments.
The PTC200-DS has been utilized in various high-profile projects worldwide. Notably, it was employed to lift a 350-foot-long, over 3.5 million-pound (1,600-tonne) wash tower at Lotte Chemical’s Ethylene Glycol project in Louisiana, USA. The crane’s ability to perform such massive lifts in confined spaces underscores its versatility and capability.
