Product Description

The Link-Belt HSP-8055 offers a fully synchronized telescoping main boom extending from 33 feet to 105 feet (10.06 to 32.00 meters), with four sections operated by a single lever for ease of use. An optional jib provides further reach, offering either a 33-foot (10.06 m) swing-on lattice jib or an extended 58-foot (17.68 m) jib with a maximum tip height of 167 feet (50.9 meters). The jib is designed with offset angles of 0°, 15°, and 30° for versatile lifting configurations.

The crane’s auxiliary boom head is designed with a single sheave for additional flexibility, supporting single-line hoisting tasks. The boom head is welded to the fourth section of the boom and is fitted with four or five load sheaves for smooth rope travel over anti-friction bearings.

The hydraulic system powers a planetary swing motor, allowing 360° continuous rotation with smooth braking and speed control. The swing system includes a double planetary reduction gear, ensuring precise control even under heavy loads.

The hoisting system uses high-capacity drums with grooved surfaces, providing high line pull and rope stowage. The main hoist is equipped with an automatic braking system, delivering precise load control and a maximum single line pull of 16,800 lbs (7620 kg) at 525 FPM (160.02 m/min). This hoisting power is further complemented by the crane’s auxiliary hoist for additional versatility.

In terms of the engine, the Link-Belt HSP-8055 is powered by a Cummins 6BTA5.9 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 174 HP at 2500 RPM and 455 lb-ft of torque at 1500 RPM. This power ensures the crane maintains strong performance in various terrain conditions. The alternative engine option is a Caterpillar 3116 DITA with similar performance specifications.

The crane is mounted on a four-wheel drive chassis, offering full mobility and steering options. The transmission features a 6-speed forward and 3-speed reverse configuration with full power-shift capabilities. Tires include 21.00 x 25 earthmover types, providing robust traction in off-road environments.

The crane’s outriggers are hydraulically controlled, with telescoping beams that extend to a span of 17 feet (5.18 m) for enhanced stability during lifting operations.
