Demag AC200-1P

The Demag AC 200-1P is an advanced iteration of the highly regarded AC 200-1, designed to meet both high-performance expectations and regulatory constraints in international markets. Offering a 200-ton maximum lifting capacity at a 3-meter radius, the crane’s engineering complies with DIN 15019.2 standards and supports a wide array of heavy-duty lifting tasks.

One of the AC 200-1P’s standout features is its adapted six-axle carrier configuration. This model introduces a fully integrated additional axle to the standard five-axle AC 200-1 chassis, resulting in a 12 x 8 x 10 drive-steer configuration. The added axle is fully active and includes steering, braking, and hydropneumatic suspension, ensuring excellent roadability and maneuverability even under strict axle weight limits. The carrier can be fitted with either 395/95R25 or 445/80R25 tires and features rear-mounted counterweight transport trays for improved logistical efficiency.

The crane’s main boom is composed of telescopic sections capable of being extended for higher reach applications, while its operational envelope is enhanced through optional jibs that provide increased tip height and reach. With a fully extended boom and fixed jib combinations, the crane offers flexible configurations tailored to different site requirements. An outrigger base of 8.44 meters and an 8.2-meter spread ensure operational stability, even at high working radii.

Building on the AC 200-1P’s foundation, the AC 200-1TP version incorporates a removable, fully functional tag axle. This 14 x 8 x 12 drive-steer configuration includes steering, suspension, and braking systems, as well as quick couplings that simplify assembly and disassembly for transport. The tag axle also allows for variable counterweight transport, enhancing site adaptability and logistical convenience.

Both the AC 200-1P and AC 200-1TP maintain Demag’s hallmark performance, precision control, and structural strength. Their enhancements make them particularly suitable for operations in regions with strict road transport legislation while retaining the crane’s full lifting capabilities. These adaptations enable operators to maximize fleet flexibility without compromising on operational power or efficiency.
