Grove GMK6400
Manitowoc has displayed the first production versions of the GMK6400 all-terrain crane in Germany Bauma 2013. Although the prototype of the crane appeared at previous events, the Bauma show marked its production launch for the new model.

The GMK6400 offers the best lifting capacity of any six-axle mobile crane and equipped with patented self-rigging Mega Wing Lift that enhances the capacity and eliminates the use of an auxiliary crane for assembly. With a 60 m main boom and attachments up to 136.6m. The crane earned Manitowoc the “Innovation Manufacturer” in 2012. The two innovative designs highlighted in ESTA awards was Grove’s patented MegaWingLift and Fuel Saver, an intelligent system that helps to reduce fuel consumption.

Fleurieu Cranes purchased first GMK6400 in Australia
South Australian based crane rental company, Fleurieu Cranes has purchased the first unit of GMK6400 in Australia and took delivery in Feb 2015. The deal was closed through local Manitowoc dealer RMB Service Group. The 400-tonne mobile crane will join its existing three other Grove all terrain cranes and a Manitowoc crawler crane. They have two units of GMK3055, a recent purchased GMK4100 and an 80-tonne capacity 8500-1 crawler crane.The maiden job for the GMK6400 was at the new Royal Adelai de Hospital, dismantling a tower crane that belongs to Select Plant. The GMK6400 was configured 44.79 metres main boom and 43 metres luffing jib to dismantle the tower crane at a radius of 46 metres with the heaviest component weighing 13.7 tonnes.
Alanoca purchased Bolivia’s first GMK6400
Bolivia’s first Grove GMK6400 arrived in March and it has already taken on some major construction projects in the country. Alanoca, a transport and logistics company based in El Alto, added the crane to its rental fleet and put it right to work, supplying it to several contractors for a wide array of projects.
Alanoca, a transport and logistics company has purchased Bolivia’s first Grove GMK6400 in March 2017. The crane was put into work at a cement factory in La Paz and will join a project to construct a petrochemical complex in late 2017.
