Product Description
The Liebherr LTM 1055-3.1 is a high-performance, three-axle all-terrain crane designed to deliver robust lifting capacity in a compact format. Rated for 55 metric tons, it features a five-section telescopic boom extending from 10.2 meters to 40 meters. This is achieved using Liebherr’s TELEMATIK single-cylinder telescoping system, allowing fully automatic section extension in a synchronized sequence, ensuring both efficiency and strength under load.
To extend its reach, the crane is equipped with a swing-away jib ranging from 10.5 to 16 meters, which can be mounted at angles of 0°, 20°, and 40°. With this configuration, the crane can achieve a maximum hoist height of 56 meters and a maximum radius of 48 meters, offering flexibility in medium-scale construction, maintenance, and utility work.
Power comes from a Liebherr turbocharged diesel engine, compliant with emission standards at the time, and delivering 270 kW (367 hp). This engine is paired with a ZF AS-Tronic automated 12-speed gearbox, enabling seamless on-road operation and efficient fuel use. The drive configuration allows for all-wheel steering and includes selectable steering modes for enhanced maneuverability on confined sites.
The superstructure’s hydraulic system operates via axial piston pumps, offering smooth and simultaneous movement of the boom, swing, and winches. The hoist system delivers high-speed lifting with a line pull of 45 kN and line speeds up to 125 m/min, ensuring efficient jobsite performance.
Mounted on a 3-axle chassis with a wheelbase of 3.9 meters between axles 1 and 2, the LTM 1055-3.1 offers exceptional maneuverability, with multiple steering modes and a narrow turning radius. The maximum driving speed is approximately 80 km/h, and the crane is equipped with hydropneumatic suspension, providing comfort and stability during transit and lifting operations.
Operator comfort is ensured through an ergonomically designed cab, with wide visibility, integrated climate control, and the Liebherr LICCON control system for precise load monitoring, capacity calculation, and real-time operational feedback.
Well-suited for urban jobsites, industrial facilities, and infrastructure support, the LTM 1055-3.1 excels where lifting power and mobility must be balanced in tight spaces.
