The LTM 1090/3 boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 90 tons and is recognized as one of the most robust 4-axle cranes on the market. Its 6-section telescopic boom extends from 11.5 meters to 52 meters, combined with a biparted swing-away jib that extends the reach further, providing a maximum under-hook height of 84 meters and a maximum radius of 58 meters.
Boom and Jib Configurations
The crane features a versatile biparted swing-away jib, which can be mounted at 0°, 20°, and 40°, with hydraulic rigging aids and an optional hydraulic adjustment for increased flexibility. The telescoping system, known as “Telematik,” allows for rapid, automatic, or manual adjustments to the boom length, ensuring efficient operation across various lifting tasks.
Engine and Emissions
It is equipped with two Liebherr Diesel engines; the carrier engine produces 460 kW and complies with EURO III standards, while the crane engine delivers 149 kW. Both engines are designed for energy efficiency and optimized emission control, supporting sustainable operations.
Drive and Steering System
The LTM 1090/3 features a variable drive system with options for 8×6 or 8×8 configurations, enhancing its off-road and on-road capabilities. It includes advanced features like active rear-axle steering, which is electrohydraulic and speed-dependent, ensuring precise control and a smaller turning radius of 8.76 meters.
Safety and Control Systems
