Product Description

The Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 is a heavy-duty all-terrain mobile crane, initially launched with a lifting capacity of 750 tonnes and later upgraded to 800 tonnes. The crane was showcased at the 2013 Bauma show in Germany and quickly gained popularity, with over ten units ordered shortly after its debut. The crane is built for high performance in both on-road travel and complex lifting operations on site, combining compact dimensions with superior lifting capabilities.

The carrier consists of a 9-axle configuration (18 wheels), with hydro-pneumatically suspended axles and automatic leveling. Axles 1 to 4 and 6 are equipped with planetary gears, while axles 5 and 6 feature transverse differential locks. Axles 3 and 5 have longitudinal differential locks. The steering system is a 2-circuit hydraulic servo design, enabling active rear axle steering based on speed and load, which significantly enhances maneuverability.

The power for the crane carrier is delivered by a Liebherr 8-cylinder diesel engine producing 500 kW (680 hp) with a maximum torque of 3000 Nm. It complies with EU Stage IV / US EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards (97/68/EG and EPA/CARB). The transmission is a ZF TC-TRONIC HD with 12 forward and 2 reverse speeds, including torque converter and transfer differential.

For lifting operations, the crane is equipped with a 52-meter telescopic boom, extendable in 1 m increments using a telescopic extension system (TELEMATIK), and optional fixed jibs (10 to 62 m) or luffing jibs (21 to 91 m) for extended reach and higher lifting flexibility. The hoisting system uses axial piston variable displacement motors and integrated planetary gears for high-efficiency lifting operations. The slewing system is powered by 3 axial piston motors with planetary gearboxes.

Counterweight options include a total of 204 tonnes, composed of various configurations including a base plate, central weight, and additional modular ballast elements. The crane also offers various optional equipment like a 2nd and 3rd hoist gear with luffing jib, guying system for telescopic boom, and eccentric V2 1.5 m extensions for versatility in different lifting conditions.

The superstructure is powered by a 6-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine integrated into the counterweight frame, producing 270 kW (367 hp) and 1720 Nm torque. It includes a 5 axial piston variable displacement pump for crane functions, with servo-control and capacity control for efficient power distribution.

Control is facilitated by two self-centering joysticks and a modern bus system for precision. Safety features include LICCON2 load moment indicator, test systems, and multiple safety valves to ensure secure operation under demanding conditions. The crane cab provides ergonomic features such as a rotating seat, comfort interior, and air conditioning, ensuring operator comfort for long shifts.

Overall, the Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 (upgraded to LTM 1750-8.1 in naming convention after capacity upgrade) is a technologically advanced and versatile heavy lift crane, well-suited for challenging construction, industrial, and wind power applications where high capacity and long reach are essential.
