Tadano ATF180G-5

The first five units of the ATF180G-5 are being shipped to customers in North America in 2012. Some new features include all-wheel steering and Euromot 3b engines with Mercedes BlueTec clean engine technology, first seen on ATF400G-6. The BlueTec technology reduces particle emissions by 90% compared to older emission standards and the Mercedes engine has already met the requirement of Euromot 4. It also helps to cut down fuel consumption by approximately 5%.
However, the stand-out feature of the ATF180G-5 is the lifting capacities of the main boom, giving a load chart that compares and rivals 200 tonnes class all-terrain crane in the market. For example, it can lift 8.2 tonnes at a radius of 36 metres and 13.2 tonnes at a radius of 22 metres.

In taxi configuration, the ATF180G-5 can travel on the road with 60 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight with 13.2 metres jib extension, 25 and 10 tonnes hook block on a 10×8 drive. This means that it can travel on the road to a job site with 73.2 metres lifting height while meeting the 12 tonnes per axle road limits.
In addition, the ATF180G-5 is equipped with Tadano’s Lift Adjuster safety system, which minimises any load sway induced by boom deflection when lifting a load off the ground. This is particularly beneficial when the view of the load is being obstructed and/or the load is lifted from an elevated level. This allows the operator to pay full attention to the operation rather than just relying on the radius indication of the Automatic Moment Limiter.
