Tadano GA3600N

The Tadano GA-3600N is a high-capacity all-terrain crane designed for versatile, large-scale lifting operations with a maximum rated capacity of 360 tonnes at 3.0 meters radius. The crane features a 6-section telescopic boom with a hydraulic pin-lock system, offering a boom length range from 13.9 to 60.0 meters. For extended reach and higher elevation work, the crane supports several jib configurations. The full automatic luffing jib measures up to 31.0 meters, while the manual luffing jib extends up to 58.0 meters (with extension). The maximum lifting height can reach 115.0 meters when the luffing jib and extension jib are combined.

The GA-3600N offers outstanding working radius capabilities, with the main boom achieving up to 58.0 meters, and the luffing jib reaching 80.0 meters, or 90.0 meters with extension. The boom extension and elevation are operated by double-acting hydraulic cylinders with flow regulators, ensuring smooth and precise control.

The crane’s hoisting system uses hydraulic motor-driven planetary gear reducers with automatic brakes and two single winches with a 2-speed (high/low) selector. The main winch provides a maximum hook speed of 10.7 m/min with a line pull of 150 m/min on the fifth layer, while the auxiliary winch matches that speed and capacity. The swing system features a hydraulic planetary gear reducer with a 360° continuous swing, offering a max swing speed of 1.2 rpm.

Mounted on a FAUN RTF 300-6 12×6 carrier, the crane is powered by a Benz OM502LA V8 diesel engine delivering 448 kW (609 hp) and 2700 Nm of torque. The carrier features a fully automatic transmission with 16 forward and 2 reverse gears, hydraulic pneumatic suspension, and full-floating axles. The braking system includes air service brakes, spring-applied parking brakes, an emergency brake, and auxiliary retarder and exhaust brakes. The maximum road travel speed is 63 km/h, with a gradeability of 0.7 and a minimum turning radius of 11.9 meters.

The crane superstructure operates independently with a Mitsubishi 6D24-TL water-cooled turbo diesel engine rated at 188 kW (255 hp) and 1090 Nm of torque. Hydraulic performance is driven by two variable high-pressure piston pumps and three gear pumps, supported by a 1,327-liter hydraulic oil tank.

For lifting safety, the crane is equipped with a full suite of devices, including an automatic moment limiter (AML), winch drum lock, over-winding detection, level gauges, swing lock, hook safety latch, and boom elevation safety valves. Outriggers use a fully hydraulic H-type system with a maximum extension of 8.7 meters, and mid/slide lock configurations for improved stability.

The GA-3600N is designed with operator comfort in mind, with two-man cabs on both the carrier and superstructure, each featuring air conditioning, AM/FM radio, back monitor, and ergonomic controls. Its intelligent electronic systems include swing angle monitoring, boom angle indicators, and drum monitors, contributing to precision and operational safety on demanding lifting tasks.
