Product Description

The XCMG QAY500 is an all-terrain crane that boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 500 tons. It features a telescopic main boom that extends up to 84.2 meters, providing substantial lifting height for a range of applications, including construction, wind power maintenance, and heavy industrial lifting. For even greater reach, a jib configuration can be added, with maximum jib length extending up to 95 meters.

The crane’s performance metrics include a maximum lifting moment of 15,190 kN·m and a maximum rated lifting moment of 3,677 kN·m. It is designed to handle challenging lifting operations with high efficiency and safety.

The QAY500 is equipped with a robust winch system, providing line speeds of up to 170 m/min for both the main and auxiliary winches. Its boom extension and retraction operations are also efficient, with extension times under 960 seconds and retracting within 125 seconds. The crane offers a slewing speed of 0–0.8 rpm, allowing for smooth and precise positioning during lifting tasks.

Powering the crane is a Mercedes-Benz OM502LA.E3A/1 engine, delivering a rated power output of 480 kW. This engine meets China’s Tier III emission standards, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while providing reliable power for on-site operations. The crane’s travel speed reaches up to 75 km/h, with a gradeability of 50%, making it capable of navigating various terrains.

The crane’s dimensions feature an overall length of 20.263 meters, a width of 3.0 meters, and a height of 4.0 meters. It sits on a 16-axle chassis, with each axle designed to support heavy loads, contributing to the machine’s stability and maneuverability. The outriggers have horizontal and vertical extensions, ensuring firm support during operations.

Safety features include hydraulic locking systems, load moment indicators, and anti-two-block systems. The QAY500’s jib can be set at angles of 0°, 20°, and 40°, allowing for flexibility in different lifting scenarios. This crane is engineered for ease of operation and maintenance, offering an effective lifting solution for large-scale projects.
