Product Description
The Demag CC 2500 is a 450-ton crawler crane, engineered based on the highly successful design of the CC 2800, making it an industry leader in heavy-duty lifting. With its exceptional lifting capabilities, this crane is equipped with a Superlift attachment, providing increased stability and lifting power for complex industrial and infrastructure projects. The Superlift system allows for high lifting capacities across a wide range of working conditions, making the CC 2500-1 ideal for projects that require enhanced lifting performance.
The crane is optimized for transport, with each component weighing less than 39 tons, ensuring ease of transportation between job sites. Despite its massive lifting capabilities, the CC 2500 is designed for efficiency and mobility, making it a practical choice for large-scale projects.
Powered by a 315 kW (420 hp) DaimlerChrysler OM 501 LA diesel engine, the CC 2500 delivers reliable and consistent performance, meeting EUROMOT 3a and EPA standards. Its advanced hydraulic system features five variable displacement axial piston pumps, providing precise control over the crane’s hoisting, slewing, and boom extension functions.
The CC 2500’s versatility comes from its multiple boom configurations, with lengths ranging from 24 to 126 meters. The SH configuration offers boom lengths from 24 to 72 meters, while the SH/LH setup can extend up to 102 meters. For extended reach and heavy lifting tasks, the SSL/LSL configuration allows for a boom length of up to 126 meters, with the Superlift attachment enhancing stability for even the heaviest loads. Additionally, the crane can be fitted with luffing jib options, ranging from 12 to 84 meters, providing further flexibility in lifting operations.
With a high single line pull of 146 kN, the crane ensures strong and secure load handling, even in demanding environments. Safety is also a priority, with features such as electronic load indicators, hoist and boom movement limit switches, hydraulic boom backstops, and wind speed monitoring via an anemometer. The operator cab is equipped with large safety-glazed windows, air conditioning, full instrumentation, and a heating system to ensure operator comfort and safety during long operations.
The Superlift system, which adds up to 230 tons of counterweight, allows for increased stability and lifting capacity. The crane also includes hydraulic quick-disconnect fittings for the boom and Superlift assembly, ensuring quick and efficient setup and teardown.
Overall, the Demag CC 2500 delivers outstanding lifting power, flexibility, and ease of transport, making it ideal for heavy-lifting tasks across sectors like construction, energy, and large-scale industrial projects. With its optimized transportability, powerful Superlift attachment, and proven CC 2800 design, it stands as one of the most versatile cranes in its class.
