Kobelco CK80UR-2

The Kobelco CK80UR-2 mini crawler crane is designed to excel in confined workspaces typical of urban construction, infrastructure maintenance, and interior site operations. It offers a maximum rated lifting capacity of 2.93 tons and is built with a 4-section box-type boom that extends from 3.56 meters to 10.8 meters. The crane achieves a maximum lifting height of approximately 11.7 meters and a maximum working radius of 10.47 meters, making it suitable for medium-reach, precision lifts.

The CK80UR-2 is powered by a turbocharged Isuzu 4LE2XDPC direct injection diesel engine delivering 41 kW (56 PS) at 2,000 rpm. It has two travel speeds (2.6 and 5.3 km/h) and operates with low ground pressure thanks to its 450 mm wide crawler shoes. The boom elevation operates from -1° to 78°, with boom raising and extension performed via double-acting hydraulic cylinders. The main winch offers a rope speed of up to 92 m/min (at the fourth layer), using an 8 mm diameter, 80-meter rope, ensuring smooth and steady lifting performance.

The crane incorporates Kobelco’s unique iNDr engine cooling system, reducing noise and simplifying maintenance by enclosing cooling components in a duct-like structure. This system prevents dust build-up on the radiator and reduces the risk of overheating. Additionally, the CK80UR-2 meets Japan’s 2014 off-road emission standards, significantly reducing particulate and NOx emissions.

Safety features include a moment limiter with overload prevention (automatic operation stop), overwinding prevention device, hook height limiter, boom angle limiter, external load status display lamp (three-color), and swing flasher. The boom’s interior wire routing and built-in sheaves reduce the risk of contact damage, while the hook-in mechanism minimizes hook swing during transport and travel.

The CK80UR-2 is particularly well suited for jobsites with limited space and restricted overhead clearance, such as subway projects, underground parking construction, high-rise building basements, and bridge work in urban areas.
