Gottwald G HMK 7408

The G HMK 7408 is designed to cope with containers stacked six-high on deck on vessels up to post-Panamax size. To do this it has a higher tower, a raised boom pivot (of 23.3 m) and a higher-mounted tower cab (26.5 m viewing level). This translate that a crane can come right up alongside the ship and increase the operator’s visibility.

The operating radius is between 11 to 51 metres and the maximum lifting capacity is 100 tonnes. Maximum lifting heights are 12 metres below quay level and 40 metres above. The maximum hoisting speed is 90 m/min and the cranes have a two-rope hoist. Power is from the onboard 895 kW diesel generator.
