Product Description
The Link-Belt RTC-80100 Series II is a high-performance 100-ton (90.72 metric ton) rough terrain crane, designed to handle heavy lifting tasks in challenging environments. Its five-section, formed construction boom extends from 40 ft to 150 ft (12.2 m to 45.7 m), with smooth hydraulic actuation, and is equipped with a quick-reeve boom head for efficient rigging changes. The boom offers three lifting configurations—A-max1, A-max2, and standard mode—optimizing lifting capacity depending on job requirements.
For extended reach, the RTC-80100 comes with an optional 31 ft (9.45 m) to 55 ft (16.76 m) bi-fold lattice fly that can be stowed and offset to angles of 2°, 25°, and 45°. With the two fly extension options, the crane’s reach extends to a maximum of 243 ft (74.07 m). This combination of boom and fly allows for versatility in lifting at greater heights and distances, with the crane capable of achieving a maximum tip height of 243 ft (74.07 m).
A key feature of the RTC-80100 Series II is its ability to handle high-capacity lifts with no deductions for stowed attachments, offering flexibility in load management. The crane’s hydraulic counterweight removal system further simplifies setup and breakdown on-site, enabling efficient operations and quick mobility between job locations.
Powering the crane is a robust Detroit Diesel Series 40 engine producing 300 hp, which provides the necessary torque and power for both lifting and travel functions. The crane’s hydraulic system includes independent hydraulic circuits for precise control of all functions, from boom extension to outriggers. The winch system delivers a maximum line pull of 21,000 lbs (9,525 kg) and a line speed of 431 ft/min (131 m/min), ensuring fast and efficient hoisting operations.
The RTC-80100’s six-wheel hydrostatic drive system features fully independent “A” arm suspensions, allowing the crane to navigate rugged terrain with ease. Its travel speed of 18.6 mph (29.9 km/h) and turning radius of just 21 ft (6.4 m) provide excellent maneuverability in tight or uneven job sites. Additionally, the crane is equipped with hydraulic-pinned, removable front and rear outrigger boxes, enabling maximum stability during lifting operations.
Operator comfort and safety are prioritized in the Ultra-Cab™ design, which features a fully enclosed, climate-controlled cab with dual-axis pilot-operated controls. The cab includes full visibility, ergonomically designed seating, and a range of control options to optimize precision in handling complex lifting tasks. The crane is also equipped with CabWalk™, allowing for safe access and operation.
Overall, the Link-Belt RTC-80100 Series II is a reliable, high-capacity rough terrain crane built to handle the demands of heavy-duty lifting in difficult environments. Its combination of power, reach, and advanced control systems makes it an ideal choice for large-scale construction and industrial applications.
