Product Description

The Potain MC 125 hammerhead tower crane is a trusted solution for small to medium construction projects, particularly suited for urban environments due to its compact tower section and efficient lifting capabilities. Introduced as part of Potain’s well-regarded MC range, it is engineered with a 1.6 m x 1.6 m mast system and can be erected to free-standing heights of over 60 meters using S 46 J or L 46 A1 tower sections. The maximum working radius is 60 meters, where it can lift 1.15 tonnes at the tip. Its maximum lifting capacity is 6 tonnes with dual trolley reeving, which can be achieved at reduced working radii.

The crane’s hoisting system can be equipped with either the 33 PC 15 or 40 LVF 15 winch, delivering lifting speeds up to 80 m/min or 85 m/min respectively depending on the reeving configuration, with line pull capacities supporting heavier loads efficiently. It supports both 400 V (50 Hz) and 480 V (60 Hz) power systems, depending on regional requirements, and has slewing speeds of up to 0.8 rpm via the RCV 145 drive system. The travel mechanism is powered by RT 324 C1 motors, offering movement speeds of up to 25 m/min with 2×5.2 kW motors.

With a versatile load chart, the MC 125 can handle various configurations—lifting up to 7.4 tonnes at 30 m radius or 3.7 tonnes at 40 m radius, depending on setup. The counter-jib is compact at around 11.94 meters, and the crane’s rotating section is engineered for simple assembly and efficient transport. The MC 125 is also compatible with climbing inside buildings, using Potain’s telescoping cage and anchoring systems, allowing it to grow with the structure.

All mechanisms comply with international standards including ISO 9001 and FEM 1.001-A3, ensuring safety, reliability, and long-term performance across diverse job sites.
