Product Description

The Demag AC 350 is a versatile 350-ton capacity all-terrain crane, engineered for demanding lifting operations that require strength, reach, and flexibility. The crane boasts a base main boom with four telescopic sections, extending to a maximum length of 64 meters. By incorporating the luffing fly jib and additional extensions, it achieves an impressive maximum boom length of 126.4 meters, making it ideal for high-reaching tasks. The crane’s innovative Sideways Superlift (SSL) system enhances its lifting capabilities by providing additional stability and load capacity, allowing it to handle heavier loads at extended radii.

Designed for optimal mobility, the AC 350 is the most compact 6-axle crane in its category, with an overall length of just 16.7 meters, facilitating easy transport and maneuverability on various terrains. The crane’s carrier is built on a 12x8x10 drive/steering configuration, featuring a high-strength monobox main frame with integrated outrigger boxes. The fully hydraulic four-point outrigger system is equipped with horizontal and vertical electronic leveling controls, ensuring precise setup and stability on-site.

The AC 350 is powered by a water-cooled 6-cylinder DaimlerChrysler OM 502 LA engine, delivering 450 kW (612 hp) at 1800 rpm and a torque of 2700 Nm at 1300 rpm. Compliant with EURO MOT 3a, Tier 3, and CARB emission standards, this engine provides both power and efficiency. The carrier has a 660-liter fuel tank capacity, with an additional tank on the superstructure. It is coupled with a ZF AS-Tronic automated transmission, featuring 16 forward and 2 reverse gears, ensuring smooth driving performance with cruise control.

The crane’s axles, numbered 2 through 6, are driven, and all six axles are capable of steering, with hydro-pneumatic suspension that is lockable for enhanced stability. The steering system integrates dual-circuit semiblock mechanical controls, allowing precise and safe maneuvering, while brakes comply with EC directives, ensuring reliable stopping power.

The superstructure of the Demag AC 350 is equipped with a comprehensive hydraulic system powered by 7 circuits, including 4 main pumps and 3 auxiliary pumps, to handle all crane movements. The hoist system utilizes a variable-displacement axial-piston motor with a planetary gear reducer, ensuring controlled lifting. The crane cab is designed for comfort and safety, featuring a tiltable structure with sliding doors, tinted glass, air conditioning, and ergonomic seats with joystick controls.

Optional equipment for the AC 350 includes various jibs (fixed and luffing) ranging from 12.2 meters to 71.6 meters, heavy-lift attachments for extended lifting capabilities, and auxiliary sheaves for additional lifting lines. The crane also offers innovative operator aids such as electronic load indicators, digital displays for load and boom configuration, and built-in safety features, including limit switches and anemometers.

With its combination of strength, reach, and compact design, the Demag AC 350 stands out as a reliable and efficient solution for a broad range of heavy lifting tasks, from construction to industrial applications, making it a versatile choice for operators seeking both performance and maneuverability.
